BMW 1 Series
The BMW 1 Series is a range of subcompact executive cars (C-segment) manufactured by BMW since 2004. It is the successor to the BMW 3 Series Compact and is currently in its third generation. Positioned as the entry level model in BMW range of products, the first generation was produced in hatchback, coupé and convertible body styles. Since 2014, the coupé and convertible models have been marketed separately as the 2 Series, therefore the 1 Series range no longer includes these body styles. A four-door sedan model became available for the Chinese market in 2017, using the front-wheel drive platform that is also used the basis for the third-generation 1 Series hatchback. A high-performance BMW M version called the BMW 1 Series M Coupé was produced for the first generation. Due to the 1 Series coupé model being replaced by the 2 Series, the 1 Series M Coupé was replaced by the BMW M2 in 2016. For the first two generations, the 1 Series uses a rear-wheel d ...

IBM Series/1
The IBM Series/1 is a 16-bit minicomputer, introduced in 1976, that in many respects competed with other minicomputers of the time, such as the PDP-11 from Digital Equipment Corporation and similar offerings from Data General and HP. The Series/1 was typically used to control and operate external electro-mechanical components while also allowing for primitive data storage and handling. Although the Series/1 uses EBCDIC character encoding internally and locally attached EBCDIC terminals, ASCII-based remote terminals and devices could be attached via an I/O card with a RS-232 interface to be more compatible with competing minicomputers. IBM's own 3101 and 3151 ASCII display terminals are examples of this. This was a departure from IBM mainframes that used 3270 terminals and coaxial attachment. Series/1 computers were withdrawn from marketing in 1988 at or near the introduction of the IBM AS/400 line. A US government asset report dated May 2016 revealed that an IBM Series/1 ...

Nikon 1 Series
The Nikon 1 series is a discontinued camera line from Nikon, originally announced on 21 September 2011. The cameras utilized Nikon 1-mount lenses, and featured 1" CX format sensors. The series included the Nikon 1 V1, J1, J2, and S1 with a 10-megapixel image sensor, the V2, J3, S2 and AW1 with a 14-megapixel image sensor and further increased autofocus speed to 15 frames per second (fps), and the 1 V3, J4 with a new 18-megapixel image sensor, further increased autofocus speed to 20 fps, 120 fps HD slow-motion at 1280 x 720 and 1080/60p. The J5 model added a 20.8MP sensor in 2015 and kept most other technical specifications the same as the J4 model. At the time of announcement, Nikon claimed that the cameras featured the world's fastest autofocus, with 10 fps—even during videos—based on hybrid autofocus (phase detection/contrast-detect AF with AF-assist illuminator), as well as the world's fastest continuous shooting speed (60 fps) among all cameras with interchangea ...
