''19LIVE86'' is the first live album by the Serbian rock band Ekatarina Velika, released in 1987. The album marks EKV's rising popularity following the commercial success of their third album '' S vetrom uz lice''. Ekatarina Velika ( sr-Cyrl, Екатарина Велика, en, Catherine the Great), sometimes referred to as EKV for short, was a Yugoslav rock band from Belgrade, being one of the most successful and influential Yugoslav music acts. Initially called Katarina II ( sr-Cyrl, Катарина II, en, Catherine II), the band had built up a devoted following that greatly intensified and expanded after the death of its frontman Milan Mladenović in 1994, which caused the band to dissolve. The group's core consisted of singer and guitarist Milan Mladenović, keyboardist Margita Stefanović and bassist Bojan Pečar, with other members mostly remaining for comparatively shorter periods. ''S vetrom uz lice'' ( en, With The Wind Against Our Faces) is the third studio album by the Serbian rock band Ekatarina Velika, released in 1986. With this album Ekatarina Velika reached a wider audience, and it is considered to be the commercial breakthrough for the band. The new drummer, replacing Ivan "Firchie" Fece, was Ivan "Raka" Ranković (ex. Tvrdo srce i velike uši). The album was recorded and mixed in SIM studio in Zagreb and produced by Dragan Čačinović and Ekatarina Velika. In 2006 "Ti si sav moj bol" was ranked #3 on the B92 Top 100 Domestic Songs list. ''Ljubav'' ( en, Love) is the fourth studio album by the Serbian rock band Ekatarina Velika, released in 1987. The new band member, replacing Ivan "Raka" Ranković on drums, was Srđan "Žika" Todorović (ex Radnička kontrola, Bezobrazno zeleno, Disciplina kičme). It was their first album released for the Serbian label PGP RTB, and also the first EKV album produced by the Australian musician Theodore Yanni. Margita Stefanović
Margita "Magi" Stefanović ( sr-cyr, Маргита "Маги" Стефановић; 1 April 1959 – 18 September 2002) was a Serbian musician best known as a keyboardist of a Yugoslav rock band Ekatarina Velika (EKV). Born in Belgrade, she was the only child of well-known theatre and television director Slavoljub Stefanović-Ravassi and Desanka Nikolić. After finishing elementary school, Margita enrolled in the "Josip Slavenski" music high school from which she graduated as the most talented pianist in her class alongside Ivo Pogorelić. Her impressive school performance led to an offer of further studies at the famed Moscow Conservatory, which she ended up turning down due to family reasons—her mother very much disliked the idea of letting her go to Moscow by herself at such a young age. The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses. Bojan Pečar (Serbian Cyrillic: Бојан Печар) (22 March 1960, in Belgrade – 13 October 1998, in London) was a Yugoslav and Serbian musician, best known as bass player of the cult Yugoslav rock band Ekatarina Velika. Previously he was a member of the new wave group VIA Talas, who were featured on the Yugoslav new wave compilation album '' Artistička radna akcija''. He died on 13 October 1998 in London, England, officially of a heart attack, and was buried in Progar, outside Belgrade, Serbia. He is one of many from the former Yugoslavia (like Vladimir Cvitan, Hrvoje Horvatic, and Breda Beban) who died at a young age in London, but the cause of those deaths remains a mystery.
