1999 European Gymnastics Masters
The 1999 European Gymnastics Masters was the second edition of the European Gymnastics Masters tournament, the last one before the event changed its name to European Team Gymnastics Championships. The competition formed teams of athletes representing different nations, combining events from men's and women's artistic gymnastics, as well as rhythmic gymnastics. The event was held from June 19 to June 20 in Patras, Greece. The tournament was organized by the European Union of Gymnastics. European Team Gymnastics Championships
The European Team Gymnastics Championships, initially held as the European Gymnastics Masters, was a competition organized by the European Union of Gymnastics combining men's and women's artistic gymnastics and rhythmic gymnastics events. History The competition was first held in 1997 under the name ''European Gymnastics Masters'' in Paris, France. A second edition of the tournament, still as European Gymnastics Masters, was held in 1999 in Patras, Greece. In 2001 the competition was renamed to ''European Team Gymnastics Championships''. It was last held in 2003. All four editions of the tournament were organized by the European Union of Gymnastics. Vasiliki Millousi ( el, Βασιλική Μιλλούση; born 4 May 1984 in Athens) is a Greek artistic gymnast. She is a ten-time World Cup Series medalist on beam and has represented Greece at the 2000, 2012, and 2016 Olympic Games. She occasionally competes in the all-around but specializes in the balance beam. More recently, she was a beam finalist at the 2011 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships. Ioannis Melissanidis ( el, Ιωάννης Μελισσανίδης; born 27 March 1977) is a retired Greek artistic gymnast and the 1996 Olympic champion on the floor exercise.
