Jarrod Moseley
Jarrod James Moseley (born 6 October 1972) is an Australian professional golfer. Career Moseley was born in Mandurah, Western Australia. He turned professional in 1997. He won the PGA Tour of Australasia Order of Merit in 1998/99, having won the European Tour co-sanctioned Heineken Classic during the season. He also went on to finish 16th on the European Tour Order of Merit that season, a career best. Moseley finished well inside the top 100 on the European Tour Order of Merit every season until 2004, when he slipped to 117th, missing out on retaining his card by just one place. He regained his playing privileges immediately via the end of season qualifying school, but was again unable to replicate his form from previous years as he slipped further down the money list. Schweppes Coolum Classic
The Coolum Classic was a golf tournament held in Australia between 1990 and 1999. The tournament was held at the Hyatt Regency Coolum Resort in Yaroomba, Queensland. Schweppes became the title sponsor from 1994. Prize money was A$150,000 in 1990 rising to A$200,000 from 1992 to 1996. Prize money was $300,000 in 1999. The ANZ Championship was a men's professional golf tournament, co-sanctioned by the European Tour and the PGA Tour of Australasia, that was played in Australia between 2002 and 2004. The event had been played as a 72-hole stroke-play tournament on the Australasian tour from 1998 to 2001 as the ANZ Tour Championship. Rod Pampling
Rodney Pampling (born 23 September 1969) is an Australian professional golfer. He currently plays on the PGA Tour Champions, and was a three-time winner on the PGA Tour. Golf career Pampling was born in Redcliffe, Queensland. He turned professional in 1994. He began his tournament golf career on the PGA Tour of Australasia, where he won the 1999 Canon Challenge, and also spent time on the NGA Hooters Tour, a developmental tour in the United States. In 2000 and 2001 he played on the PGA Tour's official developmental tour, the Buy.com Tour, now called the Web.com Tour, and did well enough in his second season to gain promotion to the full PGA Tour. Craig Spence (golfer)
Craig A. Spence (born 17 September 1974) is an Australian professional golfer. Spence was born in Colac, Victoria and first played golf at the age of 10. Around the age of 15 he began competing at an amateur level. He then went on to the Victorian Institute of Sport, winning two Victorian Amateurs back to back. He turned professional in 1996 and joined the PGA Tour of Australasia. In 1999 Spence made his professional breakthrough with victory in the Ericsson Australian Masters. Having opened up with a 9 under par first round, he finished by hitting a 6 iron to two feet for a birdie on the final hole to win by a single stroke over Australia's most successful golfer, playing partner Greg Norman. Ericsson Masters
The Australian Masters was an annual golf tournament on the PGA Tour of Australasia held in Victoria, Australia from 1979 to 2015. History In 1989 the International Management Group took control of the management of the tournament. Though the Australian Masters usually was part of the PGA Tour of Australasia's calendar, the event was not on the Order of Merit in 1992. The PGA Tour of Australasia requested that the field expand from 100 players to a full-field of 120 players. International Management Group (IMG), which ran the event, rejected the request. Frank Williams, an employee of IMG, justified the decision by stating, "The sponsors expect the Masters to be different from other Australian tournaments and it was sold to them as a limited-field special event." Michael Long (golfer)
Michael Richard Long (born 27 August 1968) is a New Zealand professional golfer who has played on a number of tours, including two seasons on the PGA Tour and three seasons on the European Tour. He won four times on the PGA Tour of Australasia between 1996 and 2018 and twice on the Nationwide Tour. He won the 2020 European Senior Tour Q-School. 1999 European Tour
The 1999 European Tour was the 28th official season of golf tournaments known as the PGA European Tour. The season was made up of 41 tournaments counting towards the Order of Merit, which included the U.S. Open and PGA Championship for the first time; and several non-counting "Approved Special Events". The Order of Merit was won by Scotland's Colin Montgomerie for the seventh successive year; he won five official-money tournaments during the season, including Volvo PGA Championship, and also added the Cisco World Match Play Championship. Heineken Classic
The Heineken Classic was a men's professional golf tournament played in Australia from 1990 to 2005 as part of the PGA Tour of Australasia. From 1990 to 1992 it was called the Vines Classic. It was held at the Vines Resort in Western Australia from 1990 to 2001 and moved to the Royal Melbourne Golf Club from 2002 to 2005. From 1996 onwards it was co-sanctioned by the European Tour. In 2005 it was the most lucrative golf tournament in Australasia, but the 2006 event was cancelled after the sponsor withdrew and the promoters were unable to find a replacement.
