Eredivisie
The Eredivisie (; ''"Honour Division"'' or ''"Premier Division"'') is the highest level of professional football in the Netherlands. The league was founded in 1956, two years after the start of professional football in the Netherlands. It is considered one of the best European leagues. As of the 2020–21 season, it is ranked the sixth-best league in Europe by UEFA. The Eredivisie consists of 18 clubs. Each club meets every other club twice during the season, once at home and once away. At the end of each season, the two clubs at the bottom are relegated to the second level of the Dutch league system, the (First Division), while the champion and runner-up of the are automatically promoted to the Eredivisie. FC Utrecht
Football Club Utrecht () is a Dutch professional football club based in Utrecht. The club competes in the Eredivisie, the top tier of Dutch football, and plays its home matches at the Stadion Galgenwaard. The club was formed in 1970 as a merger between local clubs VV DOS, USV Elinkwijk and Velox. Since then, the club has won three national cup tournaments: in 1985, 2003 and 2004, also winning the Johan Cruyff Shield in 2004 as the first club outside the traditional Dutch '' Big Three''. Peter Van Houdt
Peter Van Houdt (born 4 November 1976) is a Belgian former professional footballer who played as a forward and manager. Playing career Van Houdt started his professional career at Sint-Truiden and after playing four years for Roda JC in the Netherlands he spent several years in Germany with Borussia Mönchengladbach and MSV Duisburg. After his stay in Germany he came back to the club where it all started for him, Sint-Truiden. Coaching career On 1 March 2010, it was confirmed that Van Houdt would become U17 manager for Jecora Herk and in the following season would become assistant manager for his former youth club Herk Sport under manager Dirk Verjans. After one season, he succeeded Verjans as manager of the club. On 24 October 2014, Van Houdt left Herk Sport to become the manager of KVK Wellen. Mariano Bombarda
Mariano Bombarda (born 10 September 1972) is an Argentinian former professional footballer who played as a striker. Early life Bombarda was born in Cádiz, Spain, to an Italian father and Argentinian mother. Due to the profession of his father, who was a naval engineer, his family moved a lot and in addition to Spain he has also lived in Italy, Argentina and Venezuela. Career As part of an exchange program in 1989 for students from Venezuela, he played for ACV in Assen, Netherlands, where he entered the under-19 team. Nikos Machlas
Nikos Machlas ( el, Νίκος Μαχλάς, born 16 June 1973) is a retired Greek former professional footballer who played as a striker. Club career OFI Crete Machlas began his career with OFI Crete, where he made his debut in February 1991 against Panionios. He stayed at the club for six seasons. He had the Dutch Eugène Gerards as a coach at OFI Crete. Vitesse Machlas signed for Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem in 1996 from Greece. He scored a disappointing 8 goals in 29 games in his first season in the Eredivisie, but in his second season he scored 34 goals in just 32 games, a feat which earned him the European Golden Boot for the 1997–98 season. Michael Alexander Mols (born 17 December 1970) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a striker. Club career Born in Amsterdam to Indo (Eurasian) parents, Mols, a product of local AFC Ajax's youth system, never appeared officially for its first team, making his professional debuts in the second division, with Cambuur Leeuwarden, which he helped obtain Eredivisie promotion in 1992. Luc Gilbert Cyrille Nilis (born 25 May 1967) is a Belgian professional football manager and former player who is the head coach of Belgian Division 2 club Belisia Bilzen. NAC Breda (), often simply known as NAC, is a Dutch professional football club, based in Breda, Netherlands. NAC Breda play in the Rat Verlegh Stadium, named after their most important player, Antoon 'Rat' Verlegh. They play in the Eerste Divisie. RKC Waalwijk
RKC Waalwijk () is a Dutch professional football club based in Waalwijk, that is currently competing in the Eredivisie. Its name is derived from 'Rooms Katholieke Combinatie' ('Roman Catholic Combination' in Dutch) and was established as a merger of HEC, WVB and Hercules. History The club was formed on 26 August 1940 and used to play its home games at Sportpark Olympia.
