The Italian Republican Party ( it, Partito Repubblicano Italiano, PRI) is a liberal and social-liberal political party in Italy. Founded in 1895, the PRI is the oldest political party still active in Italy. Julian Front (''Fronte Giuliano'', FG) was a regionalist political party active in the Province of Trieste, Italy. Formed in the mid 1990s, the party strived for the independence of Trieste from Italy (through the return to the Free Territory of Trieste), in line with a tradition started with the Independence Front for the Free Julian State after World War II and continued with the List for Trieste in the late 1970s. Prior to that FG supports the separation from Friuli and the creation of the region of Trieste. Slovene Union
The Slovene Union ( sl, Slovenska skupnost, SSk, it, Unione Slovena, US) is a political party in Italy representing the Slovene minority in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. Its Slovenian language name means literally "Slovene Community", but the denomination "Slovene Union" is used in other languages. The party was founded in the 1960s to represent the anti-communist Slovenes in the Italian Julian March (provinces of Trieste and Gorizia). Lega Nord (; acronym: LN), whose complete name is (), is a right-wing, federalist, populist and conservative political party in Italy. In the run-up of the 2018 general election, the party was rebranded as (), without changing its official name.
