The 5th European Cross Country Championships were held at Ferrara in Italy on 13 December 1998. Serhiy Lebid took the title in the men's competition and Paula Radcliffe won the women's race. European Cross Country Championships
The European Cross Country Championships is an annual international cross country running competition. Organised by the European Athletic Association, it is the area championships for the region and is held in December each year. The championships was inaugurated in 1994 in Alnwick and the venue for the championships changes each year. Unlike the World Championships for the sport, the European Cross Country Championships consists of six races in age categories, with separate senior, under-23, and junior races for both men and women. There are individual and national team medals awarded in each race. Olivera Jevtić ( sr-Cyrl, Оливера Јевтић, born 24 July 1977) is a Serbian long-distance runner. She has represented her country five times at the Olympics in 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016. Running career Jevtić was born in Titovo Užice, Yugoslavia, otherwise known presently as Užice, Serbia. Her parents are father Milorad and mother Draginja.
