Johan Museeuw (born 13 October 1965) is a retired Belgian professional road racing cyclist who was a professional from 1988 until 2004. Nicknamed ''The Lion of Flanders'', he was particularly successful in the cobbled classics of Flanders and Northern France and was considered one of the best classic races specialists of the 1990s. He won both the Tour of Flanders and Paris–Roubaix three times and was road world champion in 1996. Other notable career achievements include two individual stage wins in the Tour de France, two final classifications of the UCI Road World Cup, two national road race championships and several classic cycle races. In 1996 he received the Vélo d'Or, awarded annually to the rider considered to have performed the best over the year. Michael Boogerd
Michael Boogerd (born 28 May 1972) is a Dutch former professional road bicycle racer. He was one of the leaders of a generation of Dutch cyclists in the late 1990s and early 2000s, together with teammate Erik Dekker and female cyclist Leontien van Moorsel. Career Boogerd was born in The Hague, and began his professional career in 1994, joining ''WordPerfect''. In 1995 the team changed name to ''Novell'', before Rabobank in 1996 became main sponsor and name for the team. Boogerd stayed with the team his entire career. Lauri Aus (4 November 1970 – 20 July 2003) was an Estonian professional cyclist who represented his native country at three consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1992. He was born in Tartu, became a professional in 1995, and rode for several French teams. He was the first Estonian rider to finish the Tour de France in 1997. He also finished in the top 10 of the World Championship in 1997. Lauri Aus died, aged thirty-two, of injuries sustained after being struck by a drunk driver, while training between Aovere and Kallaste in Tartu County. He was married, with two children.
