The 1997 Miami RedHawks football team was an American football team that represented Miami University in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) during the 1997 NCAA Division I-A football season. In its eighth season under head coach Randy Walker, Miami compiled an 8–3 record (6–2 against MAC opponents), finished in a tie for second place in the MAC, and outscored all opponents by a combined total of 412 to 226. Michie Stadium is an outdoor football stadium on the campus of the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York. The Glass Bowl is a stadium in Toledo, Ohio. It is primarily used for American football, and is the home field of the American football team of the University of Toledo Rockets. It is located on the school's Bancroft campus, just south of the banks of the Ottawa River.
