Daniil Shafran
Daniil Borisovich Shafran (russian: Даниил Борисович Шафран, January 13, 1923February 7, 1997) was a Soviet Russian cellist. Biography Early years Daniil Shafran was born in Petrograd (later Leningrad, then Saint Petersburg) in 1923. Even from before his birth he was surrounded by music. His mother and father were music students when he was born. His father, Boris Shafran, went on to be principal cellist of the Leningrad Philharmonic Orchestra and his mother, Frida Moiseyevna, was a pianist. He recounted how, as his mother went into labour, his father was practicing passages from Haydn's D major Concerto in preparation for a recital, and was reluctant to go to the hospital until he had mastered a difficult technical passage. Pair Skating
Pair skating is a figure skating discipline defined by the International Skating Union (ISU) as "the skating of two persons in unison who perform their movements in such harmony with each other as to give the impression of genuine Pair Skating as compared with independent Single Skating".S&P/ID 2021, p. 109 The ISU also states that a pairs team consists of "one Woman and one Man". Pair skating, along with men's and women's single skating, has been an Olympic discipline since figure skating, the oldest Winter Olympic sport, was introduced at the 1908 Summer Olympics in London. The ISU World Figure Skating Championships introduced pair skating in 1908. Like the other disciplines, pair skating competitions consist of two segments, the short program and the free skating program. Lina Alexeyevna Fedorova (russian: Лина Алексеевна Фёдорова; born 20 December 1997) is a Russian pair skater. With partner Maxim Miroshkin, she is the two-time World Junior bronze medalist, 2012 JGP Final champion, 2012 Winter Youth Olympics silver medalist, and 2013 Russian Junior Champion. Personal life Lina Alexeyevna Fedorova was born on 20 December 1997 in Moscow. Her younger sister, Lana, is also into figure skating. Career Fedorova was introduced to figure skating by her grandmother at the age of four years. Initially a singles skater, she took up pair skating in 2009 with Maxim Miroshkin. Rhythmic Gymnastics
Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport in which gymnasts perform on a floor with an apparatus: hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon. The sport combines elements of gymnastics, dance and calisthenics; gymnasts must be strong, flexible, agile, dexterous and coordinated. Rhythmic gymnastics is governed by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), which first recognized it as a sport in 1963. It became an Olympic sport in 1984, with an individual all-around event. The group all-around competition was added to the Olympics in 1996. At the international level, rhythmic gymnastics is a women-only sport. Yana Alexeyevna Kudryavtseva (russian: Я́на Алексе́евна Кудря́вцева; born 30 September 1997) is a retired Russian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2016 Olympic All-around silver medalist, three-time World Champion in the All-around (2013–2015), the 2015 European Games All-around champion, two-time (2014, 2016) European Championships All-around champion, the 2012 European Junior ball champion. In national level, she is a two-time (2015, 2014) Russian National All-around champion and three time Russian Junior National all-around champion. Long Jump
The long jump is a track and field event in which athletes combine speed, strength and agility in an attempt to leap as far as possible from a takeoff point. Along with the triple jump, the two events that measure jumping for distance as a group are referred to as the "horizontal jumps". Anatoliy Ryapolov
Anatoliy Ryapolov (born 31 January 1997) is a Russian long jumper. Ryapolov has won gold medals at the 2013 World Youth Championships and at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games and at the 2015 European Junior Championships. At 2015 European Junior Championships Ryapolov won the gold medal with a personal best at 7.96 m. In 2013 Ryapolov broke Russian youth record when he jumped 7.90 m. The previous record was 7.76 m, set by Igor Lozinskiy back in 1996. During the season Ryapolov jumped multiple times around 7.75 m or more but could not break the European Youth Record which is 7.98 m set by Jonathan Moore in 2001. In July 2013 Ryapolov won gold at the World Youth Championships and also became first ever Russian winner at that event at the World Youth Championships. Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2006
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2006 was the fourth edition of the annual Junior Eurovision Song Contest for young singers aged 8 to 15. On 2 December 2006, the contest was broadcast live from Bucharest, Romania making it the second time the contest had been held in a capital city. It was organised by the Romanian national broadcaster, Romanian Television (TVR), in co-operation with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). The show was broadcast live in the competing countries, as well as Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Australian television channel Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) that acquired the rights for broadcasting the show, which was broadcast on 1 January 2007. Anastasiya Andreyevna Tolmacheva and Maria Andreyevna Tolmacheva (born 14 January 1997, Kursk), known as the Tolmachevy Sisters (), are identical twin singers and actresses from Kursk, Russia. Aged nine, they won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with their song "Vesenniy jazz".
