1997 International Formula 3000 Championship
The 1997 International Formula 3000 season was the thirty-first season of the second-tier of Formula One feeder championship and also thirteenth season under the International Formula 3000 Championship moniker. The championship was a ten-round series contested from 11 May to 25 October 1997. The Drivers' Championship was won by Brazilian Ricardo Zonta of Super Nova Racing, who won three races. Masahiko Kageyama
is a former racing driver from Japan. He participated in the Japanese Grand Touring Car series in the top category between 1993 and 2002. Kageyama won the inaugural Japanese Grand Touring Car championship, in the Nismo Nissan Skyline GT-R R32, before winning the next two championships. He also won the All-Japan Formula Three Championship in 1989, and the Japanese Touring Car Championship in 1993. Along with Nissan Motorsports teammates Aguri Suzuki and Kazuyoshi Hoshino, he drove a Nissan R390 GT1 to a third-place finish at the 1998 24 Hours of Le Mans. Takuya Kurosawa
is a Japanese race car driver. Kurosawa raced in All-Japan Formula Three from 1988 to 1989, Japanese Formula 3000 from 1990 to 1995 and the JGTC series from 1994 to 1999, also driving in the 1998 24 Hours of Le Mans, finishing 10th. Kurosawa then obtained sponsorship to drive in the American CART series for Dale Coyne Racing in 2000. He made eight starts with a best finish of 12th at the Detroit Grand Prix. Ralph David Firman Jr. (born 20 May 1975) is a British-born former racing driver who raced under Irish citizenship (his mother Angela is from Ireland) and an Irish-issued racing licence. Sarah Kavanagh (born 3 June 1973) is an Irish former racing driver. Career Kavanagh made racing debut in 1992. She competed in the British Formula Vauxhall Championship in 1995. The following year, she entered two rounds in the British Formula Two Championship. Kavanagh came to Japan in 1997 and participated in Formula Nippon (now called the Super Formula Championship) representing CERUMO. She became a hot topic as Formula Nippon's first female driver. However, she lost her qualifying time in the opening round at Suzuka by 14 seconds at the top and finished the race at 14th place. is a former racing driver from Japan. Career Mitsusada began competing in Japanese Formula Three in 1991 with Now Motor Sports and secured a podium in his first season with the team. By 1993, he continued to race with the team and won his first race, along with a further four podium finishes. He finished 4th in the championship, and represented the team at the 1993 Macau Grand Prix. In 1994, he graduated to Formula Nippon and drove for DOME.
