The 1996–97 Liga Indonesia Premier Division (known as the Liga Kansas for sponsorship reasons) was the third season of the Liga Indonesia Premier Division, the top division of Indonesian football. The season began on 17 November 1996 and ended on 28 July 1997. Persebaya won the title after beating the defending champions, Bandung Raya 3–1 in the final. Liga 2 (English: ''League Two'') is the second-tier of the football competition system in Indonesia, organized by PSSI. Before 2017, this competition was named the Liga Indonesia Premier Division (from 1994 to 2007, it was the top-tier division in the Indonesian football league system). PSB Bogor (stands for Persatuan Sepakbola Bogor) is an Indonesian football club based in Bogor. They currently compete in the Liga 3. Their home stadium is Pajajaran Stadium. History PSB Bogor was established in 1950, they became known in the 90s. At that time, they managed to come out as runners-up 1990–91 Soeratin Cup. Petrokimia Putra was an Indonesian football club based in Gresik, East Java, Indonesia. They last played in the Liga Indonesia First Division. Persatuan Sepakbola Kediri Kabupaten, simply known as Persedikab ( en: ''Football Association of Kediri Regency'') is an Indonesian football club based in Kediri Regency, East Java. They play in Liga 3. Their home ground is Canda Bhirawa Stadium. They are funded by the Government of Kediri Regency. Formed from the fragments of the board Persik Kediri, this team was more used to be known by the public sphere in Indonesia compared with Persik. Arseto Football Club, which is commonly referred to simply as Arseto, was an Indonesian football club based in Solo, Central Java, Indonesia. They last played in the Liga Indonesia Premier Division. The club was established in 1978 by Sigit Harjojudanto, who was the son of former President Suharto. At first, the club was based in Jakarta. However, the club moved to Solo in 1983 after Suharto declared 9 September as National Sports Day during the inauguration of Sriwedari Stadium. During its existence the club managed to win the 1990–92 Galatama title, as well as the 1985 Piala Galatama and 1985 Galatama-Perserikatan Invitational Championship.
