South Africa National Rugby Union Team
The South Africa national rugby union team, commonly known as the Springboks (colloquially the Boks, Bokke or Amabokoboko), is the country's national team governed by the South African Rugby Union. The Springboks play in green and gold jerseys, with white shorts and their emblem is a native antelope, the Springbok, which is the national animal of South Africa. The team has been representing South Africa in international Rugby Union since 30 July 1891, when they played their first test match against a British Isles touring team. They are currently the reigning World Champions and have won the World Cup on 3 occasions, (1995, 2007, and 2019). The Springboks are equalled with the All Blacks with 3 World Cup wins. The team made its World Cup debut in 1995, when the newly democratic South Africa hosted the tournament. Malawi National Football Team
The Malawi national football team, nicknamed ''The Flames'', represents Malawi in international football and is controlled by the Football Association of Malawi. Before 1966, they were known as the Nyasaland national football team. They have qualified for three Africa Cup of Nations, in 1984, 2010 and 2021. They also won the CECAFA Cup in 1978, 1979 and 1988. History Malawi first qualified for an African Cup of Nations in 1984, when only eight teams competed in the tournament in Ivory Coast. After a 3-0 defeat against Algeria, World Cup participants in 1982 and 1986, the Malawi drew 2-2 in the second game against eventual finalists Nigeria. With a 0–1 loss against Ghana, Malawi ended the group stage with 1 point at the bottom of the table and was eliminated from the tournament. After 26 years, Malawi took part in an Africa Cup of Nations again in 2010. Zaire National Football Team
The DR Congo national football team, recognised by FIFA as Congo DR (formerly known as Zaire, alternatively known as Congo-Kinshasa), represents the Democratic Republic of the Congo in men's international football and it is controlled by the Congolese Association Football Federation. They are nicknamed ''the Leopards''. The team is a member of FIFA and the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Congo DR have been ranked as high as 28th in the FIFA Rankings. As Zaire they were the first Sub-Saharan African team to qualify for the FIFA World Cup and twice won the Africa Cup of Nations. Johannesburg Stadium
Johannesburg Stadium is a stadium, in the Doornfontein suburb of Johannesburg, Gauteng Province, South Africa. The stadium has a sweeping roof and can accommodate 37,500 people. It was originally built as an athletics stadium, but also hosted football and rugby matches. The eighth IAAF World Cup in Athletics was held at the stadium in 1998. It served as the main stadium for the 1999 All-Africa Games. It is mostly used as a training ground for the Orlando Pirates and the Golden Lions. Michael Jackson performed two shows (sold out) on his History World Tour, on 10 and 12 October 1997. Also he planned to give 2 concerts on September 30 and October 2, 1993, but these plans were suspended due to violence in Johannesburg. Simba Cup
Simba is a fictional character and the protagonist of Disney's ''The Lion King (franchise), The Lion King'' franchise. Introduced in the 1994 film ''The Lion King'', Walt Disney Animation Studios, Walt Disney Animation's List of Walt Disney Animation Studios films, 32nd animated feature, the character subsequently appears in ''The Lion King II: Simba's Pride'' (1998) and ''The Lion King 1½'' (2004) as well as The Lion King (2019 film), the 2019 remake of the original film.
