1996 Svenska Cupen Final
The 1996 Svenska Cupen final took place on 23 May 1996 at Gamla Ullevi in Gothenburg. The match was contested by Allsvenskan sides AIK and Malmö FF. AIK played their first final since 1985 and their 10th final in total, Malmö FF played their first final since 1989 and their 17th final in total. A golden goal in extra time secured AIKs fifth cup title. 1995–96 Svenska Cupen
Svenska Cupen 1995-96 was the forty-first season of the main Swedish football Cup. The competition was concluded on 23 May 1996 with the Final held in Gamla Ullevi, Göteborg. AIK won 1-0 (golden goal) against Malmö FF before an attendance of 2,745 spectators. A different format was used for the competition with the number of teams entered reduced by almost half compared with the previous year and the third round was run on a group basis. Pär Millqvist
Pär Johan Millqvist (born 24 May 1967) is a Swedish former footballer who played as a right-back. Club career Millqvist represented Djurgårdens IF, IFK Göteborg, Örebro SK, Vasalunds IF, AIK, and IF Brommapojkarna during a career that spanned between 1986 and 1999. While at IFK Göteborg, he was a part of the Göteborg team that was crowned Swedish Champions in 1987. Magnus Hedman
Magnus Carl Hedman (; born 19 March 1973) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Beginning his career with AIK in 1990, he went on play in the English Premier League, Scottish Premier League, and Italian Serie A before retiring in 2005. He played 58 matches for the Sweden national team, and represented his country at the 1994 and 2002 FIFA World Cups, as well as UEFA Euro 2000 and 2004. Pascal "Pagge" Simpson (born 4 May 1971) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a forward. He represented IF Brommapojkarna, AIK, Vålerenga IF, FC Copenhagen, and Halmstads BK during a career that spanned between 1990 and 2003. He won two caps for the Sweden national team in 1997 and also represented the Sweden Olympic team at the 1992 Summer Olympics.
