1996 Copenhagen Rocket Attack
On 6 October 1996, a rocket-propelled grenade was fired at the headquarters of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club in Copenhagen, Denmark, killing two people and injuring nineteen others. A prospective member of the rival Bandidos Motorcycle Club was convicted of perpetrating the attack, which occurred during the Nordic Biker War (1994–97). Background A conflict between the Bandidos and Hells Angels, known as the Nordic Biker War, commenced in January 1994. After its beginning in southern Sweden, violence involving the rival clubs also took place in Norway and Finland, before eventually reaching Denmark on 26 December 1995, when two Hells Angels members were severely beaten by a group of Bandidos at a restaurant in Copenhagen. The Nordic Biker War was a wikt:gang war, gang war that began in January 1994 and continued until September 1997 in parts of Scandinavia and Finland, involving the Hells Angels and Bandidos Motorcycle Club, Bandidos outlaw motorcycle clubs. Jens Kramer Mikkelsen
Jens Kramer Mikkelsen (born 16 December 1951) was the Lord Mayor of Copenhagen for the Social Democratic Party from 1989 to 2004 and he is the longest-serving mayor in the City of Copenhagen. Fælledparken
The park Fælledparken in Copenhagen, Denmark, was created 1906–1914 by landscape architect Edvard Glæsel in cooperation with the Copenhagen Municipality on the commons (Danish: ''fælled'') previously named ''Nørrefælled'' and ''Østerfælled''. Mickey Borgfjord Larsen
Mickey Borgfjord Larsen (7 March 1971 – 17 September 2003) was a Danish outlaw biker, gangster and member of the Bandidos Motorcycle Club. Larsen was sentenced to eight years in prison in 1989 for the murder of tradesman Erik Dam, who was stabbed to death on an S-train at Rødovre station. Following his release from prison, Larsen joined the Bandidos during the Nordic Biker War in 1996. He rebelled against the club's leadership after the murder of Claus Bork Hansen, an expelled Bandido and close friend of Larsen who was shot and killed by Bandidos members in Vanløse in March 2001. Poul Oluf Nyrup Rasmussen (, informally Poul Nyrup, born 15 June 1943) is a retired Danish politician. Rasmussen was Prime Minister of Denmark from 25 January 1993 to 27 November 2001 and President of the Party of European Socialists (PES) from 2004 to 2011.
