The 1995–96 Meistriliiga was the fifth season of the Meistriliiga, Estonia's premier football league. Lantana won their first title. Meistriliiga
Meistriliiga (, known as the A. Le Coq Premium Liiga for sponsorship reasons) is the highest division of the Estonian Football Association annual football (soccer), football championship. The league was founded in 1992, and was initially semi-professional with amateur clubs allowed to compete. With the help of solidarity mechanisms, the league is fully professional since the 2020 Meistriliiga, 2020 season. As in most countries with low temperatures in winter time, the season starts in March and ends in November. Meistriliiga consists of ten clubs, all teams play each other four times. After each season the bottom team is relegated and the second last team plays a two-legged play-off for a place in the Meistriliiga. In February 2013, A. Le Coq, an Estonian brewery company, signed a five-year cooperation agreement with the Estonian Football Association, which included Meistriliiga naming rights. Ivan O'Konnel-Bronin
Ivan O'Konnel-Bronin (born 10 February 1973) is a retired Estonian association football, football forward (association football), forward, who became a Manager (football), football manager after his professional career. Antonina Georgievna Borissova (1903–1970) was a Soviet botanist, specialising in the flora of the deserts and semi-desert of central Asia. Andrei Borissov
Andrei Borissov (born 1 August 1969 in Tallinn, Estonia) is an Estonian football coach and former professional footballer. He played the position of midfielder and is 1.77 m tall and weighs 76 kg. Maksim Gruznov (russian: Максим Грузнов) (born 21 April 1974 in Narva) is a retired Estonian football striker. Gruznov became the Meistriliiga top goalscorer in 1993/94 and then repeated his success in 2001 and 2006 seasons. Gruznov is the Meistriliiga all-time top scorer with 304 goals. The 1996–97 Esiliiga is the sixth season of the Esiliiga, second-highest Estonian league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1992. Main tournament Played in fall 1996. FC Norma Tallinn
Norma Tallinn is a now defunct Estonian football club. Norma Tallinn became the first Estonian champions after the Soviet Union collapse, they went on to defend their title next year, in 1993. Norma also won the Estonian Cup in 1994. The club was relegated to the second division in 1995 and to the third the following year. Norma Tallinn were dissolved after the 1996/1997 season. History Founded in 1959, Norma Tallinn was one of the biggest football clubs in Estonian SSR.
