1995–96 Macedonian First Football League
The 1995–96 Macedonian First League was the 4th season of the Macedonian First Football League, the highest football league of Macedonia. The first matches of the season were played on 20 August 1995 and the last on 9 June 1996. Vardar were the defending champions, having won their third title in a row. The 1995-96 champions were FK Sileks who had won their first title. Promotion and relegation 1 Pobeda Valandovo was initially promoted, but was expelled from the First League due to unknown reasons. FK Sileks ( mk, ФК Силекс) is a football club based in Kratovo, North Macedonia who play in the Macedonian First League. History The club was founded in 1965. Sileks biggest accomplishment in 90s came in the Yugoslav Cup where they reached the quarter-final. It was a remarkable achievement considering they defeated both Sarajevo teams, FK Željezničar and FK Sarajevo in back to back rounds. Since the formation of the First Macedonian Football League, they played at top level from the start until their relegation in 2013. FK Pobeda ( mk, ФК Победа) is a football club based in the city of Prilep, North Macedonia. History The club was founded in 1941 as Goce Delčev and renamed in 1950 to FK Pobeda. FK Pelister ( mk, ФК Пелистер) is a Macedonian football club based in the city of Bitola, North Macedonia. They are currently competing in the Macedonian Second League.
