The race was won by Zbigniew Spruch. Zbigniew Spruch (born 13 December 1965 in Kożuchów) is a Polish former professional road bicycle racer. He won the Tour de Pologne in 1995 and placed second at the 2000 UCI Road World Championships. Fabrizio Guidi
Fabrizio Guidi (born 13 April 1972 in Pontedera, Province of Pisa) is an Italian former road bicycle racer. Guidi won over 40 races since he turned professional in 1995, including two stages in Giro d'Italia and three stages of 1998 Vuelta a España. He also won the Intergiro competition of Giro d'Italia in 1996, 1999 and 2000. He retired at the end of 2007 season, riding for the British team Barloworld. Dariusz Baranowski (born 22 June 1972) is a former professional racing cyclist from Poland. He is known as individual time trialist and a climbing specialist who excels in competing in the King of the Mountains competitions for stage races. He has competed in all three of the Grand Tours. He also won the Tour de Pologne 1991, 1992 and 1993. He also rode at the 1992 Summer Olympics and the 1996 Summer Olympics.
