Supercupa României
The Supercupa României ( en, Romanian Supercup) is a Romanian football championship contested by the winners of the Liga I and the Cupa României. It is usually played at the Arena Națională in Bucharest. The competition started off in 1994, with the first edition being won by Steaua București. In 2010, for the first time in its history, the Supercup was held even though CFR Cluj had been victorious in both the league and the cup in the previous season. At that time, they faced Unirea Urziceni, the Liga I runners-up. The most successful performer so far has been FCSB with 6 wins, followed by Rapid București and CFR Cluj with 4 wins each up until 2021. Sponsorship On 22 July 2005, FRF and Samsung Electronics signed a one-year sponsorship deal. The name of the competition was changed to ''Supercupa României Samsung'' for the 2005 and 2006 editions. Anton DoboÈ™
Anton Doboș (born 13 October 1965) is a retired Romanian football defender, who debuted in Divizia A with U Cluj in 1988. He went to FC Dinamo București, Dinamo București in 1989 and helped win one league title before he headed to their rival team FC Steaua București, Steaua București, where he helped win four league titles. Doboș made his debut for the Romania national football team, national team in 1993, and got 23 caps, the last in 1998. Valeriu Răchită
Valeriu "Vivi" Răchită (born 30 May 1970) is a Romanian former footballer and current manager. Playing career A central defender, he spent most of his career in Romania with Steaua București and Petrolul Ploiești, winning a combined five domestic honours with them. Răchită also had brief stints in the country at FC Onești, Farul Constanța and FC Universitatea Craiova, as well as at Ankaragücü and Litex Lovech abroad. Managerial career Răchită began coaching in 2005 at Petrolul Ploiești, and continued his early managerial career at Chimia Brazi and rivals from Astra Ploiești. He returned to Petrolul in 2009, and guided it to Liga I promotion at the end of the 2010–11 season after winning its series in the second division. Dumitru Dumitriu (born 19 November 1945 in Bucharest), commonly known as Țiți Dumitru or Dumitriu III, is a retired Romanian footballer and coach. He is the younger brother of Emil Dumitriu ''(Dumitriu II)'' who was an International footballer and champion of Romania with Rapid București and the elder brother of Constantin Dumitriu ''(Dumitriu IV)'' who won the Romanian championship with Steaua București. Laurențiu Dumitru Roșu (born 26 October 1975) is a Romanian retired footballer who played as either a forward or winger, and is a manager. After four seasons at Steaua București, he spent nine years as a professional in Spain – eight in the two major divisions, where he amassed totals of 222 games and 45 goals – representing three clubs, mostly Numancia and Recreativo. Marius Mihai Lăcătuș (; born 5 April 1964) is a Romanian football coach and former professional footballer. He is by far the most successful footballer ever to play for Steaua București and was part of their European Cup victory in 1986. Lăcătuș is the all-time top scorer for Steaua with 16 goals in European competitions. On 7 July 2021, Steaua retired his shirt number 7 at the inauguration match of the new Steaua Stadium.
