American League Central
The American League Central is one of Major League Baseball's six divisions. This division was formed in the realignment of 1994 by moving three teams from the American League West and two teams from the American League East. Its teams are all located in the Midwestern United States. Along with the National League East, the AL Central is one of two divisions in the Major Leagues in which all of its members have won a World Series title. Mark Andrew Kiefer (born November 13, 1968) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. He played in parts of four seasons in the majors, from until , for the Milwaukee Brewers. Michael James Ignasiak (born March 12, 1966) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. He pitched parts of four seasons in the major leagues between and , all for the Milwaukee Brewers. Career Amateur After graduating from St. Mary's Preparatory, Ignasiak attended the University of Michigan. In 1986 and 1987 he played collegiate summer baseball with the Orleans Cardinals of the Cape Cod Baseball League and was named an all-star both seasons. He was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 8th round of the 1988 MLB Draft. Professional Ignasiak made his Major League debut on August 22, 1991, allowing two earned runs in 2.1 innings of relief against the Toronto Blue Jays. Brian Allen Givens (born November 6, 1965) is an American former professional baseball pitcher who played for 15 years and played for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball (MLB). Givens was known most for being a replacement player who crossed picket lines during spring training in 1995 while the 1994–95 Major League Baseball strike was still going on.
