For the Governor-Generals who represented them from 1947 to 1956, see Governor-General of Pakistan.'' The President of Pakistan is the head of state of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. According to the Constitution of Pakistan, the president has "powers, subject to Supreme Court approval or veto, to dissolve the National Assembly, triggering new elections, and thereby dismissing the prime minister". These powers were repeatedly modified through amendments to the constitution, which were introduced as the results of military coups and changes in government. Since the 18th Amendment to the Constitution was passed in 2010, Pakistan has been shifted back from semi-presidential to a parliamentary republic. Iqbal Masih ( pa, اقبال مسیح; 1983 – 16 April 1995) was a Pakistani Christian child labourer and activist who campaigned against abusive child labour in Pakistan. Hamidullah Khan is a citizen of Pakistan who was held by the United States in its Bagram Theater Internment Facility in Afghanistan. United Kingdom human rights group Reprieve reports he was just fourteen years old, when he was picked up in Pakistan. Daniel Morgan, writing for ''Newsweek Pakistan'', reported that Hamidullah's family received a letter from him in 2010, where he said he had been cleared for release by a Bagram enemy combatant review. Sami Aslam (born 12 December 1995) is a Pakistani cricketer who played for the Pakistan national cricket team between 2015 and 2017 before joining Major League Cricket. He was a left-handed batsman and an occasional right-arm off spin bowler. He is currently the second-highest run-scorer in U-19 ODI history with 1695 runs.
