Martín Fiz
Martín Fiz Martín (born 3 March 1963 in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Álava) is a long-distance runner from Spain, who won the marathon at the 1994 European Athletics Championships in Helsinki and repeated his success at the 1995 World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg. The same year he captured the title in the Rotterdam Marathon. At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta Fiz came fourth in the marathon. A year later he won a silver medal at the 1997 World Championships in Athletics in Athens, finishing behind his countryman Abel Anton. He competed in three consecutive Summer Olympics for his native country, starting in 1992. Todd Williams (athlete)
Todd Dwayne Williams (born March 7, 1969) is a retired long-distance runner from the United States, who represented his native country at two consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1992. Williams was born in Monroe, Michigan. During high school he won the Michigan team race title twice. He was a two-time United States cross country champion, with victories in 1991 and 1993. He attended the University of Tennessee where he was an All-American for three years. Is also a Brazilian jiu-jitsu blackbelt under Luiz Palhares and runs an ASICS sponsored company known as RunSafer. His personal bests were 13:19.50 in the 5000 m and 27:31.34 in the 10,000 m. He ran his marathon best of 2:11:17 in the 1997 Chicago Marathon. He is a five-time winner of the Gate River Run and set the current American record over 15 km at the event, running a time of 42:22 minutes for the distance. Simon Chemoiywo
Simon Chemoiywo (born 20 April 1968) is a Kenyan former long-distance runner. He competed in track, cross country and road running. At the IAAF World Cross Country Championships he twice represented Kenya: in 1994 he was the runner-up and team champion, then helped retain the team title for Kenya at the 1995 race. He was the African champion in the 5000 metres in 1993 in a championship record and was a silver medallist at the same event three years later. He was a one-time Kenyan champion in the 5000 m, in 1994, and competed for Kenya in that event at the 1995 World Championships in Athletics. He holds personal bests of 13:07.57 minutes for the 5000 m and 27:25.82 minutes for the 10,000 metres. In road events he was twice winner of both the Saint Silvester Road Race and Vancouver Sun Run. James Songok
James Songok (born 23 July 1970) is a Kenyan male long-distance runner who competed in cross country, track and road running. He began his career focusing on track running and after a bronze medal in the 10,000 metres at the 1988 World Junior Championships in Athletics, he went on to win the 5000 metres title at the Kenyan Athletics Championships, then the gold medal in that event at the 1992 African Championships in Athletics. Songok represented Kenya at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships on three occasions. He helped the Kenyan men to the team title in both 1994 and 1995, taking sixth then seventh place, respectively. He was picked for a third time running, but managed on 23rd place in the 1996 race. Brahim Lahlafi ( ar, إبراهيم لحلافي) (born 15 April 1968, in Fes) is a retired long-distance runner who represented Morocco during his active career. He acquired French citizenship on 6 April 2002, but represented Morocco again from 15 March 2007. His greatest achievement was the Olympic bronze medal in 2000. This was his first medal at a major international event, having barely missed the podium at the 1995 World Cross Country Championships (5th place) and twice in 5000 metres at the World Championships; 1995 (5th) and 1999 (fourth).
