1995 College Football All-America Team
The 1995 College Football All-America Team is composed of the following All-American Teams: Associated Press, United Press International, Football Writers Association of America, American Football Coaches Association, Walter Camp Foundation, ''The Sporting News'' and ''Football News''. The College Football All-America Team is an honor given annually to the best American college football players at their respective positions. The original usage of the term All-America seems to have been to such a list selected by football pioneer Walter Camp in the 1890s. The NCAA officially recognizes All-Americans selected by the AP, UPI, AFCA, FWAA, WCFF, TSN, and FN to determine Consensus All-Americans. The College Football All-America Team is an honor given annually to the best college football players in the United States at their respective positions. The original use of the term '' All-America'' seems to have been to the 1889 College Football All-America Team selected by Caspar Whitney and published in ''This Week's Sports''. Darnell Autry
Harrington Darnell Autry (born June 19, 1976) is a former American football player who played college football at Northwestern University. In his sophomore season, he helped lead the 1995 Northwestern Wildcats to the Big Ten Conference Championship and the 1996 Rose Bowl. Autry finished fourth in the Heisman Trophy balloting for 1995 and appeared on the cover of ''Sports Illustrated'' after a Northwestern victory over Penn State. Autry finished seventh in the 1996 Heisman Trophy balloting. In his junior season, he led Northwestern to another share of the Big Ten championship. After the season, Autry sued the NCAA to be allowed to act in a movie since he was a theater major and he did not want to lose NCAA eligibility. Bryan Stoltenberg (August 25, 1972 – January 4, 2013) was a professional American football player who played offensive lineman for the San Diego Chargers, New York Giants, and Carolina Panthers. Heath Spencer Irwin (born June 27, 1973) is a former American football guard in the National Football League (NFL). He played for the New England Patriots, the Miami Dolphins, and the St. Louis Rams. He played college football for the Colorado Buffaloes after graduating from Boulder High School. He was both a high school football and college football All-American and a star offensive lineman on a record-setting Colorado offensive unit. Daniel Patrick Neil (born October 21, 1973) is a former American college and professional football player who was an offensive lineman in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons. He played college football for the University of Texas, and earned All-American honors. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the third round of the 1997 NFL Draft, and played for the Broncos during his entire pro football career. Jeffrey Alan Hartings (born September 7, 1972) is a former American college and professional football player who was a center in the National Football League (NFL) for eleven seasons. He played college football at Penn State University, and earned all-American honors. Jonathan Phillip Ogden (born July 31, 1974) is an American former professional football player who was an offensive tackle and spent his entire career with the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL).
