1995 Asia Cup
The 1995 Asia Cup (also known as the Pepsi Asia Cup), was the fifth Asia Cup tournament, and the second to be held in Sharjah, UAE. The tournament took place between April 5–14, 1995. Four teams took part in the tournament: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The 1995 Asia Cup was a round-robin tournament where each team played the other once, and the top two teams qualifying for a place in the final. India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka all had four points at the end of the round-robin stage, but India and Sri Lanka qualified for the final on the basis of better run-rates. India beat Sri Lanka by 8 wickets to win its third consecutive (and fourth in total) Asia Cup. Asian Cricket Council
The Asian Cricket Council also known as ACC is a cricket organisation which was established in 1983, to promote and develop the sport of cricket in Asia. Subordinate to the International Cricket Council, the council is the continent's regional administrative body, and currently consists of 26 member associations. Jay Shah is the current president of Asian Cricket Council. History The council was formed as the Asian Cricket Conference in New Delhi, India, on 19 September 1983, with the original members being Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, and Sri Lanka. Changing its name to the present in 1995. Until 2003, the headquarters of the council were rotated biennially amongst the presidents' and secretaries' home countries. Moin Khan
Muhammad Moin Khan ( ur, ; born 23 September 1971) is a Pakistani cricket coach and former cricketer, primarily a wicketkeeper-batsman, who remained a member of the Pakistani national cricket team from 1990 to 2004. He has also captained the Pakistani side. He made his international debut against the West Indies at Multan. He took over 100 catches in Test cricket. He has scored over 3,000 ODI runs and taken over 200 catches in ODI cricket. He is credited with coining the name of Saqlain Mushtaq's mystery delivery that goes from leg to off, as the ''doosra''. Sajjad Ahmed (cricketer, Born 1974)
Sajjad Ahmed (born 20 May 1974) is a former Bangladeshi cricketer who played in two One Day Internationals in 1995. He was only 19 when he was selected to open against Zimbabwe at Dhaka in autumn 1993. Though these games were not recognized as full ODIs, they were important for Bangladesh's preparation for the 5th ICC Trophy in Kenya. Unfortunately, the young opener couldn't handle the pace of Heath Streak. He did play two full ODIs in 1995, but after scores of 4 and 11, was omitted from the national team. He played first-class cricket for Dhaka Metropolis and Dhaka Division from 2001 to 2006. Deshabandu Roshan Siriwardene Mahanama ( si, රොෂාන් මහානාම; born 31 May 1966) is a former Sri Lankan cricketer and a former ICC match referee. He was a key member for 1996 Cricket World Cup winning team for Sri Lanka. He is the first man to have stood as a match referee in a day-night test match in Test history. Navjot Singh Sidhu (born 20 October 1963) is an Indian National Congress politician, television personality and retired international cricketer.
