1994–95 Milwaukee Bucks Season
The 1994–95 NBA season was the Bucks' 27th season in the National Basketball Association. The Bucks held the right to select first overall in the 1994 NBA draft, the third time in franchise history, after 1969 and 1977–, and selected Glenn Robinson out of Purdue University. During the off-season, the team signed free agents Marty Conlon, Johnny Newman, and Alton Lister, and acquired Ed Pinckney from the Boston Celtics. However, after a 5–3 start to the season, the Bucks went on a nine-game losing streak, and played below .500 for the remainder of the season, holding a 19–29 record at the All-Star break. Eric Murdock played half of the season off the bench, being replaced with Lee Mayberry as the team's starting point guard. Mike Dunleavy Sr
Michael Joseph Dunleavy Sr. (born March 21, 1954) is an American former professional basketball player, coach, and general manager of the National Basketball Association's Los Angeles Clippers. He was most recently the head coach of the Tulane University men's basketball team. Dunleavy is the father of former professional basketball player Mike Dunleavy Jr. Early life Dunleavy was born in Brooklyn, New York. His primary education was at Holy Cross. He attended Nazareth Regional High School in Brooklyn, then graduated from the University of South Carolina, where he played under coach Frank McGuire. 1993–94 Boston Celtics Season
The 1993–94 NBA season was the 48th season for the Boston Celtics in the National Basketball Association. Tragedy struck the team prior to the season when star guard, and team captain Reggie Lewis died of cardiac arrest during practice at the age of 27 on July 27, 1993; Lewis previously collapsed during Game 1 of the Eastern Conference First Round against the Charlotte Hornets in the 1993 NBA Playoffs. Croatian rookie forward Dino Radja, who was drafted by the Celtics in the 1989 NBA draft, would finally make his debut in the NBA. Eric Mobley
Eric Mobley (February 1, 1970 – June 2, 2021) was an American professional basketball player who played three seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round (18th pick overall) of the 1994 NBA draft. A 6'11" center from Allegany Community College and the University of Pittsburgh, Mobley played in three NBA seasons for the Bucks and Vancouver Grizzlies. In his three-year career, Mobley appeared in 113 games and averaged 3.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.2 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game. He died on June 2, 2021, from cancer. Purdue Boilermakers Men's Basketball
The Purdue Boilermakers basketball team is a college basketball program that competes in NCAA Division I and is a member of the Big Ten Conference. Purdue basketball has the most Big Ten Championships with 24. The Boilermakers have reached two NCAA Tournament Final Fours, but have not won an NCAA Championship since the 1931–32 team was retroactively named a national champion by the Helms Athletic Foundation and the Premo-Porretta Power Poll. 1995–96 Golden State Warriors Season
The 1995–96 NBA season was the Warriors' 50th season in the National Basketball Association, and 34th in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Warriors won the Draft Lottery, and selected Joe Smith from the University of Maryland with the first overall pick in the 1995 NBA draft. During the off-season, the team acquired B. J. Armstrong from the expansion Toronto Raptors, and signed free agents Jerome Kersey, and Jon Barry. With Armstrong and Kersey both in the lineup at point guard and small forward respectively, Tim Hardaway and Chris Mullin both played off the bench for most of the season. At midseason, Hardaway was traded along with Chris Gatling to the Miami Heat in exchange for Kevin Willis and Bimbo Coles. Jon Barry
Jon Alan Barry (born July 25, 1969) is an American former basketball player and current television analyst for ABC and ESPN. Biography Barry is the son of Hall of Famer Rick Barry and Pam Connolly, and has three brothers: Scooter, Brent, and Drew, all of whom are also basketball players. Jon played his high school basketball at De La Salle High School in Concord, California. He then played one year each at University of the Pacific and Paris Junior College, before receiving a basketball scholarship to attend Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia. Out of Georgia Tech, he was selected in the first round of the 1992 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics, but refused to sign a contract and sat out the season. The 1995 NBA All-Star Game was the 45th edition of the NBA All-Star Game, All-Star Game. The Western Conference won 139-112. The city of Phoenix, Arizona, Phoenix hosted the event for the second time (the only previous All-Star game there occurred in 1975 NBA All-Star Game, 1975). Vincent Lamont Baker (born November 23, 1971) is an American former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He appeared in four consecutive All-Star Games. As of 2018, Baker serves as an assistant coach for the Milwaukee Bucks. The National Basketball Association's Rookie of the Year Award is an annual National Basketball Association (NBA) award given to the top rookie(s) of the regular season.
