1994 Taça De Portugal Final
The 1994 Taça de Portugal Final was the final match of the 1993–94 Taça de Portugal, the 54th season of the Taça de Portugal, the premier Portuguese football cup competition organized by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF). The final was played at the Estádio Nacional in Oeiras, and opposed two Primeira Liga sides Porto and Sporting CP. As the inaugural final match finished goalless, the final was replayed five days later at the same venue with the ''Dragões'' defeating the ''Leões'' 2–1 to claim their eighth Taça de Portugal. In Portugal, the final was televised live on RTP. As a result of Porto winning the Taça de Portugal, the ''Dragões'' qualified for the 1994 Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira where they took on 1993–94 Primeira Divisão winners Benfica. 1993–94 Taça De Portugal
The 1993–94 Taça de Portugal was the 55th edition of the Portuguese Association football, football knockout tournament, organized by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF). The 1993–94 Taça de Portugal began in September 1993. The final was played on 5 June 1994 at the Estádio Nacional. S.L. Benfica, Benfica were the previous holders, having defeated Boavista F.C., Boavista 5–2 in the 1993 Taça de Portugal Final, previous season's final. Cup holders Benfica were eliminated in the sixth round by C.F. Os Belenenses, Belenenses. F.C. Porto, Porto defeated Sporting Clube de Portugal, Sporting CP, 2–1 in a final that went to a replay as the inaugural match ended goalless. Vítor Baía
Vítor Manuel Martins Baía, OIH (; born 15 October 1969) is a Portuguese retired footballer who played as a goalkeeper. One of the most decorated goalkeepers of all time, his career was intimately connected with FC Porto, which he started representing professionally still in his teens, helping it to 25 titles and eventually remaining with the club in an ambassadorial role. Rui Filipe
Rui Filipe Tavares de Bastos (8 March 1968 – 28 August 1994) was a Portuguese footballer who played as a central midfielder. Football career Born in Vale de Cambra, Greater Metropolitan Area of Porto, Rui Filipe began his professional career with Gil Vicente F.C. in the second division, then played two seasons with S.C. Espinho, one of them in the Primeira Liga, at the age of 20. In 1990 he returned to Gil, helping the Barcelos side retain their top level status after finishing 13th. Jorge Couto
Jorge António Pinto do Couto (born 1 July 1970) is a Portuguese retired footballer who played as a right winger. He amassed Primeira Liga totals of 287 matches and 27 goals over 14 seasons, representing in the competition Porto and Boavista and winning 13 major titles between both clubs. Ion Timofte
Ion Timofte (born 16 December 1967) is a Romanian retired footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. He spent the vast majority of his career in Portugal, amassing Primeira Liga totals of 215 matches and 61 goals over nine seasons with Porto and Boavista and winning seven major titles both clubs combined. António José dos Santos Folha (born 21 May 1971) is a Portuguese retired professional footballer who played mostly as a winger, currently manager of FC Porto B. He amassed Primeira Liga totals of 227 matches and 22 goals over 12 seasons, mainly in representation of Porto. António dos Santos Ferreira André (born 24 December 1957) is a Portuguese retired footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. He gained notoriety for his tough tackling which on occasion bordered on the violent, and was best known for his lengthy spell with Porto, with which he won several domestic and continental accolades. Ljubinko Drulović (; born 11 September 1968) is a Serbian former professional footballer who played as a winger, and is a current manager. He spent the most notable part of his playing career in Portugal, with stints at Porto and Benfica – a combined ten seasons between the two clubs, winning 14 major titles with the former. Fernando Manuel Silva Couto (; born 2 August 1969) is a Portuguese former footballer who played as a centre back.
