The 1994 Shell Rimula-X season was the 10th season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Draft picks Occurrences After a dismal performance by the team in the All-Filipino, coach Rino Salazar was replaced by former Shell mentor Joe Lipa beginning the Commissioner’s Cup. On July 31, Seven-time best import Bobby Parks was accused of deliberately throwing games after Shell lost to San Miguel in overtime by one point in their last outing in the eliminations of the Commissioners Cup. Shell’s loss to the Beermen eliminated Toñdena 65, who were hoping to gain a tie with San Miguel and a playoff for the last semifinals berth. Joe Lipa
Jose "Joe" Lipa, Jr. is a Filipino basketball coach and executive who currently coaching the Terrafirma Dyip's 3x3 team in the PBA 3x3. Lipa formerly coached his alma mater, the University of the Philippines, in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines men's basketball. He also had a head coaching stint for the Manila Beer Brewmasters, Ateneo Blue Eagles, the Shell Turbo Chargers and the FedEx Express of the professional Philippine Basketball Association. Lipa is also a former head coach of the national basketball team of the Philippines, coaching the team to a bronze medal finish in the 1986 Asian Games. Michael Fitzgerald Morrison (born August 16, 1967) is an American former professional basketball player. A product of Loyola Greyhounds men's basketball, Loyola College in Maryland, he is the school's first Division I-era player to have been selected in the NBA draft, the second Loyola Greyhound drafted being Santi Aldama in 2021. Demps (born February 12, 1970) is an American professional basketball executive and former player who is currently a front office assistant for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
