The 1994 Shell Rimula-X season was the 10th season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Draft picks Occurrences After a dismal performance by the team in the All-Filipino, coach Rino Salazar was replaced by former Shell mentor Joe Lipa beginning the Commissioner’s Cup. On July 31, Seven-time best import Bobby Parks was accused of deliberately throwing games after Shell lost to San Miguel in overtime by one point in their last outing in the eliminations of the Commissioners Cup. Shell’s loss to the Beermen eliminated Toñdena 65, who were hoping to gain a tie with San Miguel and a playoff for the last semifinals berth. Joe Lipa
Jose "Joe" Lipa, Jr. is a Filipino basketball coach and executive who currently coaching the Terrafirma Dyip's 3x3 team in the PBA 3x3. Lipa formerly coached his alma mater, the University of the Philippines, in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines men's basketball. He also had a head coaching stint for the Manila Beer Brewmasters, Ateneo Blue Eagles, the Shell Turbo Chargers and the FedEx Express of the professional Philippine Basketball Association. Lipa is also a former head coach of the national basketball team of the Philippines, coaching the team to a bronze medal finish in the 1986 Asian Games. He was also named the Commissioner of the UAAP for its basketball tournament in 2005. Terrence Lewis (born 20 October 1969) is an American-New Zealand former professional player who played the majority of his career in the National Basketball League for the Wellington Saints. Michael Fitzgerald Morrison (born August 16, 1967) is an American former professional basketball player. A product of Loyola Greyhounds men's basketball, Loyola College in Maryland, he is the school's first Division I-era player to have been selected in the NBA draft, the second Loyola Greyhound drafted being Santi Aldama in 2021. Morrison played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Phoenix Suns during the 1989–90 NBA season, 1989–90 season. Delano J. Demps (born February 12, 1970) is an American professional basketball executive and former player who is currently a front office assistant for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Prior to that, he served as an assistant coach for the Utah Jazz and the general manager of the New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans from 2010 to 2019.
