The 1994 Russian Figure Skating Championships (russian: Чемпионат России по фигурному катанию на коньках 1994) took place in Saint Petersburg. Sergei Mikhailovich Grinkov (russian: Сергей Михайлович Гриньков; 4 February 1967 – 20 November 1995) was a Russian pair skater. Together with his wife Ekaterina Gordeeva, he was the 1988 and 1994 Olympic Champion and a four-time World Champion (1986, 1987, 1989, 1990). Personal life Sergei Grinkov was born in Moscow to Anna Filipovna Grinkova and Mikhail Kondrateyevich Grinkov and had an older sister, Natalia Mikailovna Grinkova. He married Ekaterina Gordeeva in April 1991. They had two ceremonies because the USSR did not recognize religious ceremonies. Irina Viktorovna Lobacheva (russian: Ирина Викторовна Лобачёва; born 18 February 1973) is a Russian former competitive ice dancer. With partner and former husband Ilia Averbukh, she is the 2002 Olympic silver medalist, the 2002 World champion and the 2003 European champion. Career Lobacheva and Averbukh teamed up in 1992 after falling in love while skating in the same group but with different partners. After the Goodwill Games in the summer of 1994 their coaches moved to Delaware, USA, with many of their students to train at the University of Delaware. Vladimir Anatolyevich Fedorov or Fyodorov (russian: Владимир Анатольевич Фёдоров, born 22 April 1971) is a Russian former competitive ice dancer. He is the 1993 World bronze medalist with Anjelika Krylova. He is now married and lives in the USA in illinois. He coaches at SnoKing Ice Arena in Snoqualmie, WA. Anjelika Alexeyevna Krylova (russian: Анжелика Алексеевна Крылова; born 4 July 1973) is a Russian retired ice dancer. With partner Oleg Ovsyannikov, she is the 1998 Olympic silver medalist and two-time (1998, 1999) World champion. She currently works as a coach and choreographer in Moscow, Russia. Competitive career In her early career, Anjelika Krylova skated with Vladimir Leliukh and Vladimir Fedorov. Anton Tarielyevich Sikharulidze (russian: link=no, Антон Тариэльевич Сихарулидзе, born 25 October 1976) is a Russian former pair skater. With Elena Berezhnaya, he is the 1998 and 1999 World champion, 1998 Olympic silver medalist and 2002 Olympic champion. His first partner was Maria Petrova, with whom he became the 1994 and 1995 World Junior Champion. Maria Igorevna Petrova (russian: Мария Игоревна Петрова, links=no; born 29 November 1977) is a Russian pair skater. Vadim Vladimirovich Naumov (russian: Вадим Владимирович Наумов; born 7 April 1969) is a Russian former pair skater. With his wife Evgenia Shishkova, he is the 1994 World champion and the 1995–96 Champions Series Final champion. Career Shishkova/Naumov were introduced in 1985 by Naumov's coach who wanted them to skate together. Naumov initially rebuffed the idea because he did not wish to change partners, however, following a number of tryouts, he and Shishkova agreed to team up. They began competing together in 1987.
