The 1994 Railway Cup Hurling Championship was the 66th staging of the Railway Cup since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1927. The cup began on 6 February 1994 and ended on 21 February 1994. Leinster were the defending champions. On 21 February 1994, Connacht won the cup after a 1–11 to 1–10 defeat of Leinster in the final at Semple Stadium. This was their 9th Railway Cup title overall and their first title since 1991. UPMC Nowlan Park (; ) is the principal Gaelic Athletic Association stadium in Kilkenny, Ireland. Named after James Nowlan (the longest serving President of the GAA), the stadium hosts major hurling matches and is home to the Kilkenny hurling team. It opened in 1927 replacing St. James Park. Martin Storey
Martin Storey (born 28 September 1964) is an Irish former hurler who played as a centre-forward at senior level for the Wexford county team. Regarded as one of the greatest Wexford players of all-time, Storey made his first appearance for the team during the 1986 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement before the 2001 championship. During that time he won one All-Ireland medal, two Leinster medals and three All-Star awards. At club level Storey was a five-time county club championship medalist with Oulart–The Ballagh. In retirement from playing Storey has become involved in team management and coaching. After serving as a selector at club level, he subsequently served as trainer of the Wexford senior camogie team and manager of the Wexford minor hurling team. The 1991 Railway Cup Hurling Championship was the 64th staging of the Railway Cup, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-provincial hurling tournament. The championship began on 10 March 1991 and ended on 7 April 1991. Connacht were the defending champions. On 7 April 1991, Connacht won the cup following a 1-13 to 0-12 defeat of Munster in the final.
