The PGA Tour (stylized in all capital letters as PGA TOUR by its officials) is the organizer of professional golf tours in the United States and North America. It organizes most of the events on the flagship annual series of tournaments also known as the PGA Tour, as well as PGA Tour Champions (age 50 and older) and the Korn Ferry Tour (for professional players who have not yet qualified to play on the PGA Tour), as well as PGA Tour Canada, PGA Tour Latinoamérica, and PGA Tour China. Omar David Uresti (born August 3, 1968) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour. Early life Uresti was born in Austin, Texas. He attended the University of Texas in Austin and graduated in 1991 with a degree in organizational communication. He turned professional immediately after graduating. Professional career Uresti has two wins on the Web.com Tour: one in 1994 at the Nike Shreveport Open, and one in 2007 at the Livermore Valley Wine Country Championship. Uresti went winless in over 350 PGA Tour starts, with two third-place finishes. Scott Michael McCarron (born July 10, 1965) is an American professional golfer who was formerly a member of the PGA Tour but now plays on the PGA Tour Champions. McCarron was born in Sacramento, California and graduated from Vintage High School in Napa, California. He was a member of the golf team at UCLA, graduating in 1988 with a major in History. Unlike most golfers, McCarron did not transition right away from the college to the professional ranks – he gave up golf for four years (1988–1992) to work with his father in the family golf apparel business. } Philip Arnold Blackmar (born September 22, 1957) is an American professional golfer. He played on the PGA Tour from 1985 to 2000 and on the Champions Tour from 2007 to 2012. He was the tallest player on the PGA Tour during his time on tour, standing 6'7". Career Blackmar was born in San Diego, California. Kelly Gibson (born May 2, 1964) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. Gibson joined the Nationwide Tour in 1990. He won the Ben Hogan Tri-Cities Open in 1991 and also earned his PGA Tour card that year through qualifying school. Dicky Thompson (born June 13, 1957) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. Thompson joined the Nationwide Tour in 1990. He won the Ben Hogan Baton Rouge Open and the Ben Hogan Elizabethtown Open en route to an 8th-place finish on the money list which earned him his PGA Tour card for 1991. He did not perform well enough on his rookie year on Tour to retain his card but got his Tour card for 1992 through qualifying school. Thomas Louis Tolles Jr. (born October 21, 1966) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour, the Nike Tour, and the PGA Tour Champions. Tolles was born in Ft. Myers, Florida. He has two Nationwide Tour victories and has finished runner-up in two PGA Tour events including the 1996 Players Championship. Tolles led by two strokes after three rounds but a final round 72 left him in a tie for second place, four behind Fred Couples. Tolles had a pair of third-place finishes in major championships. He finished solo third at the 1997 Masters Tournament. This was the tournament that Tiger Woods won by 12 strokes for his first major victory. Steve Gotsche (born August 24, 1961) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. Gotsche joined the PGA Tour in 1994, earning his Tour card through qualifying school. In his rookie year he recorded the best PGA Tour finish of his career, a fifth-place finish at the New England Classic. He didn't play well enough to retain his Tour card but earned his card through qualifying school for the second time. After an unsuccessful year on Tour, he joined the Nationwide Tour in 1996. Barton Holan Bryant (November 18, 1962 – May 31, 2022) was an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions. Early life Bryant was born in Gatesville, Texas, the son of a Baptist pastor. He attended New Mexico State University, where he was a two-time All-American as a member of the golf team. Professional career Bryant turned professional in 1986. Bryant did not win on the PGA Tour until his 187th start, the 2004 Valero Texas Open. Mark Wurtz (October 31, 1964 – March 25, 2020) was an American professional golfer. Wurtz was born in Yakima, Washington. He played college golf at the University of New Mexico and turned pro in 1986. Wurtz played mini-tours and the Canadian Tour before earning his PGA Tour card for the 1994 season in Q School. Between 1994 and 2005, he played on both the PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour. On the PGA Tour (1994–95, 1998), his best finish was T-8 at the 1994 Motorola Western Open. Jeffrey Leonard (born September 22, 1955) is an American former professional baseball left fielder. He played 14 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1977 to 1990 for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Houston Astros, San Francisco Giants, Milwaukee Brewers, and Seattle Mariners. Leonard was known professionally until the 1986 season as "Jeff" Leonard. Early years Leonard was born in Philadelphia. He was a standout in football, basketball and baseball at Overbrook High School in Philadelphia, which produced basketball stars Wilt Chamberlain and Walt Hazzard.
