American League Central
The American League Central is one of Major League Baseball's six divisions. This division was formed in the realignment of 1994 by moving three teams from the American League West and two teams from the American League East. Its teams are all located in the Midwestern United States. Along with the National League East, the AL Central is one of two divisions in the Major Leagues in which all of its members have won a World Series title. Robin Yount
Robin R. Yount (; born September 16, 1955), nicknamed "the Kid", and "Rockin' Robin", is an American former professional baseball player. He spent his entire 20-year career in Major League Baseball as a shortstop and center fielder for the Milwaukee Brewers (1974–93). Yount was drafted in 1973 and advanced to the major leagues one year later at the age of 18. He won two American League Most Valuable Player awards. In 1982, he led the Brewers to a World Series appearance. Yount was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999 in his first year of eligibility. Ángel Luis Miranda Andújar (born November 9, 1969 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico), is a former professional baseball pitcher. He played all or parts of five seasons in Major League Baseball, from 1993 until 1997, for the Milwaukee Brewers. Career Brewers Miranda originally signed with the Brewers before the 1987 season. He worked his way up through their farm system until making his major league debut on June 5, 1993. Michael James Ignasiak (born March 12, 1966) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. He pitched parts of four seasons in the major leagues between and , all for the Milwaukee Brewers. Career Amateur After graduating from St. Mary's Preparatory, Ignasiak attended the University of Michigan. In 1986 and 1987 he played collegiate summer baseball with the Orleans Cardinals of the Cape Cod Baseball League and was named an all-star both seasons. He was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 8th round of the 1988 MLB Draft. Teodoro Higuera Valenzuela (born November 9, 1957) is a Mexican former professional baseball pitcher. He played for nine years (– and –) for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball (MLB). Early career Higuera was named the rookie of the year with the Indios de Ciudad Juárez during the 1981 Mexican League season. In 1983, his contract was purchased by the Brewers. Richard Douglas Henry (born December 10, 1963) is an American former professional baseball relief pitcher and current coach. Career Henry played for the Milwaukee Brewers (1991–94), New York Mets (1995–96), San Francisco Giants (1997 and 2000), Houston Astros (1998–2000) and Kansas City Royals (2001).
