Liu Xiaomei (born 11 January 1972 in Neijiang) is a former PR China, Chinese track and field athlete who specialised in sprint (running), sprinting. After entering the Sichuan Track and Field Team in 1986, She competed in the Athletics at the 2000 Summer Olympics – Women's 4 × 100 metres relay, women's 4 × 100 metres relay at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Chen Zhaojing (born 5 April 1969) is a former Chinese track and field athlete who competed in sprint events. She won four national titles in the 200 metres between 1991 and 1994. Chen also won the 200 m event at the 1993 National Games of China in 22.56s, equaling Taiwanese Wang Huei-chen area record in the process. Catherine Astrid Salome Freeman (born 16 February 1973) is an Aboriginal Australian former sprinter, who specialised in the 400 metres event. Her personal best of 48.63 seconds currently ranks her as the ninth-fastest woman of all time, set while finishing second to Marie-José Pérec's number-four time at the 1996 Olympics. She became the Olympic champion for the women's 400 metres at the 2000 Summer Olympics, at which she lit the Olympic Flame. Freeman was the first Australian Indigenous person to become a Commonwealth Games gold medalist at age 16 in 1990. The year 1994 was her breakthrough season. Merlene Joyce Ottey (born 10 May 1960) is a Jamaican-Slovenian former track and field sprinter. She began her career representing Jamaica in 1978, and continued to do so for 24 years, before representing Slovenia from 2002 to 2012. She is ranked fourth on the all-time list over 60 metres (indoor), eighth on the all-time list over 100 metres and sixth on the all-time list over 200 metres. She is the current world indoor record holder for 200 metres with 21.87 seconds, set in 1993. She was named Jamaican Sportswoman of the Year 13 times between 1979 and 1995. Damien Marsh
Damien Marsh (born 28 March 1971) is a former Australian 100 metre and 200 metre sprint champion. A native of Goondiwindi, Queensland, Marsh finest moment as a sprinter was winning the 1995 100 metre IAAF Grand Prix Final in Monaco in a time of 10.13, defeating a field of the world's top sprinters. This bettered his own Australian national record of 10.16 set in July 1994 in Oslo. He had broken Gerrard Keating's national record (of 10.22) in February 1993 in Melbourne with a time of 10.19. He also ran a personal best in the 200 in Monaco, 20.32. Geir Moen (born 26 June 1969 in Oslo) is a former sprinter from Moss, Norway who specialized in the 200 metres. He represented Moss IL. His international senior debut came at the 1989 European Indoor Championships. At the 1994 European Championships he made his breakthrough as he won the gold medal in the 200 metres and the silver medal in the 100 metres. These were Norway's first European sprint medals since Haakon W. Tranberg in 1946. The same year he finished third in 200 m at the 1994 IAAF World Cup. The next year he won the 200 m at the 1995 World Indoor Championships and finished sixth at the 1995 World Championships. Frank "Frankie" Fredericks (born 2 October 1967) is a former track and field athlete from Namibia. Running in the 100 metres and 200 metres, he won four silver medals at the Olympic Games (two in 1992 and two in 1996), making him Namibia's only able-bodied Olympic medalist until Christine Mboma's silver medal at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
