1993–94 New York Knicks Season
The 1993–94 NBA season was the 48th season for the Knicks in the National Basketball Association in New York City. This marked the last season in which the Knicks (and all other MSG properties) were owned by Paramount Communications (formerly Gulf and Western Industries, Gulf+Western), which was sold near the end of the season to Viacom (2005–2019), Viacom, which in turn sold them to ITT Corporation and Cablevision. A couple of years later, ITT would sell their share to Cablevision. The Knicks' owner, The Madison Square Garden Company, is a Corporate spin-off, spin-off of Cablevision. During the off-season, the Knicks signed free agent Anthony Bonner. The team got off to a fast start winning their first seven games. However, they would lose Doc Rivers for the remainder of the season to a knee injury after just 19 games, while Charles Smith (basketball, born 1965), Charles D. Pat Riley
Patrick James Riley (born March 20, 1945) is an American professional basketball executive, former coach, and former player in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has been the team president of the Miami Heat since 1995, and he also served as the team's head coach from 1995 to 2003 and again from 2005 to 2008. Regarded as one of the greatest NBA coaches of all time, Riley has won five NBA championships as a head coach, four with the Los Angeles Lakers during their Showtime era in the 1980s and one with the Heat in 2006. Anthony Bonner
Anthony Bonner (born June 8, 1968) is an American former professional basketball player. College career Bonner played college basketball at Saint Louis University. He is the Saint Louis Billikens' all-time leading scorer, with 1,972 points. Professional career Bonner was selected by the Sacramento Kings, in the first round (23rd overall pick) of the 1990 NBA draft. He played six seasons in the NBA, for the Kings, New York Knicks, and Orlando Magic. He averaged 6.9 points per game in his NBA career. In 2002, at the age of 34, he attempted an NBA comeback with the Utah Jazz. He was cut after playing in 4 preseason games. 1994 NBA All-Star Game
The 1994 NBA All-Star Game was the 44th edition of the All-Star Game. The event was held in Minneapolis. The East All-Stars won the game with the score of 127–118. Scottie Pippen of the Chicago Bulls was voted MVP of the game. It was broadcast by NBC for the 1994 NBA All-Star Game in a fourth consecutive year. Anthony Mason (basketball)
Anthony George Douglas Mason (December 14, 1966 – February 28, 2015) was an American professional basketball player. In his 13-year career he played with the New Jersey Nets, Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks, Charlotte Hornets, Milwaukee Bucks, and Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association. He averaged 10.8 points and 8.3 rebounds in his 13-year NBA career. Mason earned the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award in 1995 and led the NBA in minutes played in the following two seasons. Charles Oakley
Charles Oakley (born December 18, 1963) is an American former professional basketball player. Oakley played for the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Toronto Raptors, Washington Wizards, and Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). John Starks (basketball)
John Levell Starks (born August 10, 1965) is an American former professional basketball shooting guard. Starks was listed at 6'5" and 190 pounds during his NBA playing career. Although he was undrafted in the 1988 NBA draft after attending four colleges in his native Oklahoma, including Oklahoma State University, he gained fame while playing for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association in the 1990s. Patrick Aloysius Ewing (born August 5, 1962) is a Jamaican-American basketball coach and former professional player who is the head coach of the Georgetown University men's team. 1993–94 Dallas Mavericks Season
The 1993–94 NBA season was the Mavericks' 14th season in the National Basketball Association. After a dreadful season where they only won just eleven games, the Mavericks selected Jamal Mashburn from the University of Kentucky with the fourth overall pick in the 1993 NBA draft. Despite the addition of Mashburn, and second-year star Jim Jackson playing in his first full season, the Mavericks' misery continued under new head coach Quinn Buckner, losing 23 of their first 24 games, including a 20-game losing streak between November and December, which tied the infamous 1972–73 Philadelphia 76ers. Tony Campbell
Anthony Campbell (born May 7, 1962) is an American former professional National Basketball Association (NBA) player. Campbell played prep basketball at Teaneck High School in Teaneck, New Jersey, graduating in 1980. A 6'7" small forward out of Ohio State University, Campbell was selected 20th overall by the Detroit Pistons in the 1984 NBA draft. He was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in 1987. Campbell became the first player to earn an NBA ring ( 1987–88 Lakers) and CBA ring (Albany Patroons) in the same season. Campbell struggled for playing time during his stint in Los Angeles.
