1993–94 FIBA European League
The 1993–94 FIBA European League, also shortened to 1993–94 FIBA EuroLeague, was the 37th installment of the European top-tier level professional club competition for basketball clubs (now called EuroLeague). It began on September 9, 1993, and ended on April 21, 1994. The competition's Final Four was held at Tel Aviv. Competition system * 42 teams (the cup title holder, national domestic league champions, and a variable number of other clubs from the most important national domestic leagues) played knock-out rounds on a home and away basis. The aggregate score of both games decided the winner. * The sixteen remaining teams after the knock-out rounds entered the Regular Season Group Stage, divided into two groups of eight teams, playing a round-robin. Basket-Ball Club Résidence or simply Résidence or Résidence Walferdange is a professional basketball club from the commune of Walferdange. History Résidence was founded in 1965. Later the same year began the inauguration of the Prince Henry Stadium, the club's homecourt. On March 2, 1967 was allowed to BBC Résidence, the admission of the association with the FLBB. Guildford Kings
Guildford Kings was a successful British basketball franchise, most prominent in the British Basketball League (BBL) during the early 1990s. They ceased operations at the end of the 1993–94 season. History The franchise's origins date back to the London YMCA Metros who entered the National Basketball League in 1973. The Metros enjoyed several successful seasons and a variety of exotic names - due to sponsorship naming deals - throughout the 1970s, but in 1979, owner Malcolm Chamberlain uprooted the team and relocated them from London to the suburbs of Kingston upon Thames and to the Tolworth Recreation Centre, and rebranding as Kingston.
