The 1993 FIBA European League Final Four, or 1993 FIBA EuroLeague Final Four, was the 1992–93 season's FIBA European League Final Four tournament, organized by FIBA Europe. Limoges CSP won its first title, after defeating Benetton Treviso in the final game. It was the first time a French team was the European champion. Piraeus ( ; el, Πειραιάς ; grc, Πειραιεύς ) is a port city within the Athens urban area ("Greater Athens"), in the Attica region of Greece. José Lasa (basketball)
José María Lasa Ibarguren (born 3 March 1948) is a former Spanish footballer who played mainly as a right back. He amassed La Liga totals of 287 games and 39 goals, representing in the competition Granada, Athletic Bilbao and Zaragoza. Football career Born in Andoain, Gipuzkoa, Lasa reached the professional level at the age of 21, when he signed with Real Valladolid from CD Logroñés in 1968. He spent two seasons in Segunda División with the former club, being relegated in the second; he started playing as a winger. Lasa made his debut in La Liga with Granada CF, his first game occurring on 13 September 1970 in a 1–1 away draw against Elche CF, where he scored his team's goal. John Anthony Korfas ( el, Τζον Κόρφας; born August 21, 1962) is a Greek-American professional basketball coach and former player. A EuroLeague All-Final Four Team member in 1993 (PAOK), he won all three FIBA Europe continental trophies at the club level: the EuroLeague in 1996 (Panathinaikos), the Saporta Cup in 1991 (PAOK), as well as the Korać Cup in 1994 (PAOK). Panagiotis Fasoulas
Panagiotis "Panos" Fasoulas (alternate spelling: Fassoulas; Greek: Παναγιώτης Φασούλας; born May 12, 1963 in Thessaloniki) is a Greek politician and former professional basketball player. He was selected in the second round by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 1986 NBA draft, but never decided to play in the NBA. Considered to be one of the best big men ever in European basketball, Fasoulas became a FIBA Hall of Fame player in 2016. Ken Barlow (basketball)
Kenneth Barlow (born September 20, 1964) is an American former professional basketball player. Barlow graduated from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana. Early years Barlow attended Cathedral High School. As a senior, he led the school to the state semifinal game and received All-American honors. He accepted a basketball scholarship from the University of Notre Dame. As a sophomore in the 1983–84 season, he contributed along with point guard David Rivers, to a runner-up finish at the 1984 National Invitation Tournament (NIT). He served as team captain his final two seasons, while helping the Irish to two NCAA tournament berths in 1985 and 1986. As a senior, he received the school's Student Athlete of the Year award. José "Chechu" Biriukov Aguirregaviria (born 3 February 1963) is a retired Spanish-Soviet professional basketball player. He was born in Moscow to a Russian father and a mother of Basque origin. Biriukov began playing basketball for Dynamo Moscow basketball team, before moving to Spain at the age of 20 to play for Real Madrid. He played a total of 11 seasons in Real Madrid, 22 games in the USSR national team and 67 for the Spain men's national basketball team. He played as shooting guard and was a good three points shooter, using a particular style of shooting the ball flat to the basket. Clifford Eugene Levingston (born January 4, 1961) is an American professional basketball coach and former player. Professional playing career A former power forward, Levingston played in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Levingston starred at Wichita State University, before being drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the 1982 NBA draft. After two seasons with the Pistons, he was traded to the Atlanta Hawks, with whom he would spend most of his career. In 1986, while playing for the Hawks, Levingston had the rare distinction of "fouling ''into''" an NBA game. Stefano Rusconi (born October 2, 1968) is a retired Italian professional basketball player. At a height of tall, he played at the center position. Professional career Rusconi was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers, in the 2nd round (52nd overall pick), of the 1990 NBA Draft. They traded his NBA draft rights to the Phoenix Suns, in 1991, for the draft rights to Miloš Babić. Rusconi appeared in seven games with the Suns, in the 1995–96 NBA season.
