1993 All-Ireland Junior Hurling Championship
The 1993 All-Ireland Junior Hurling Championship was the 72nd staging of the All-Ireland Junior Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1912. Wexford entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Kilkenny in the Leinster final. The All-Ireland final was played on 18 July 1993 at Croke Park in Dublin, between Clare and Kilkenny, in what was their first ever meeting in the final. Charlie Carter
Charles Gerard Carter (born 19 January 1971) is an Irish former hurler who played as a corner-forward at senior level for the Kilkenny county team. Born in Gowran, County Kilkenny, Carter first played competitive hurling whilst at school at St Kieran's College. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Kilkenny minor team, before later joining the under-21 and junior sides. He made his senior debut during the 1990-91 National League. Carter went on to play a key role for Kilkenny, and won two All-Ireland medals, four Leinster medals and one National Hurling League medal. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on two occasions. As a member of the Leinster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, Carter won one Railway Cup medal. Lismore GAA
Lismore GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Lismore, County Waterford, Ireland. The club enters teams in both GAA codes each year, which includes two adult hurling teams and one adult Gaelic football team in the Waterford County Championships. The club has won county titles in both Hurling and football, but in recent history the club has been mainly concerned with the game of hurling. The club's Camogie teams have also enjoyed much success. Munster Junior Hurling Championship
The Munster Junior Hurling Championship is a junior "knockout" competition in the game of Hurling played in the province of Munster in Ireland. The series of games are organised by the Munster Council. The winners of the Munster Junior Hurling Championship each year progress to play the other provincial champions for a chance to win the All-Ireland Junior Hurling Championship. Generally, the strong hurling counties have fielded their second team in this competition. In recent years though, they have participated in the Munster Intermediate Hurling Championship instead. Wexford Park
Chadwicks Wexford Park is a GAA stadium in Wexford, County Wexford, Republic of Ireland. It is the home of Wexford GAA's Gaelic football and hurling teams. After a recent development the ground has a capacity of about 18,000. It is located in the Clonard area on the outskirts of Wexford Town, and although the ground does not have floodlights it regularly hosts evening matches during the brighter summer months. In 2015 a local technology company, Innovate Business Technology, signed a deal for the naming rights to the stadium. The new name unveiled was Innovate Wexford Park.
