The 1992–93 Pilkington Cup was the 22nd edition of England's premier rugby union club competition at the time. Leicester won the competition defeating Harlequins in the final. Anglo-Welsh Cup
The Anglo-Welsh Cup (), was a cross-border rugby union knock-out cup competition that featured the 12 Premiership Rugby clubs and the four Welsh regions. It was a created as a replacement for the RFU Knockout Cup, which featured only English clubs. The competition was replaced by the Premiership Rugby Cup, involving only the 12 English Premiership clubs, beginning with the 2018–19 season. Aadel Kardooni
Aadel Kardooni ( fa, عادل کردونی, born 17 May 1968 in Tehran) is a British-Iranian former professional rugby union player. He is the first Iranian rugby union player to ever play professionally. Playing career Iranian born Aadel left his homeland to avoid national service, and eventually wound up in Leicester where he became Tigers' long-serving scrum half. Peter Winterbottom
Peter James Winterbottom (born 31 May 1960 in Otley, West Yorkshire), is a former England rugby union footballer who played as an openside flanker. He was England's most-capped openside (with 58 caps) until being overtaken by Neil Back in 2003. He made his England debut on 2 January 1982 against Australia, and his final appearance on 20 March 1993 against Ireland. Winterbottom was known for his work rate, durability, hard tackling and courage. He was selected on two British and Irish Lions tours in 1983 and 1993, both to New Zealand, where he impressed the locals with his fine play, albeit on losing sides. Chris Sheasby (born 30 November 1966 in Windsor, Berkshire) is an English former international rugby union player, commentator and coach. Biography Sheasby was educated at Radley College, King's College London where he graduated in Mathematics in 1989, and at the University of Cambridge. Club career He played No.8 in a rugby career with London Wasps, Harlequins and London Irish. He started in the 2002 Powergen Cup Final at Twickenham, as London Irish defeated the Northampton Saints. Will Carling
William David Charles Carling (born 12 December 1965) is an English former rugby union player. He was England's youngest captain, aged 22, and won 72 caps from 1988 to 1996, captaining England 59 times. Under his captaincy, England won Five Nations Grand Slam in 1991, 1992 and 1995, and reached the 1991 World Cup final. He played for Rosslyn Park and Harlequins at club level. Graham Rowntree
Graham Christopher Rowntree (born 18 April 1971) is an English rugby union former player and current head coach of Irish club Munster. He played loosehead prop for Leicester Tigers and England. He was capped 54 times for England, despite having to compete for his position with one of the world's most capped forwards, Jason Leonard. Rowntree was born in Stockton-on-Tees. Richard Cockerill
Richard Cockerill (born 16 December 1970) is an English rugby union coach and former player, he was the national team's interim head coach between Eddie Jones and Steve Borthwick. He played as a hooker, spending the majority of his career at Leicester Tigers where he played 255 games over two spells, he won 27 caps for and was included in the 1999 Rugby World Cup squad. He won five league titles, two European Cups and two domestic cups as a player. Following his retirement from playing in 2005 Cockerill became Leicester's forwards coach, becoming head coach in 2009. Darren Garforth (born 9 April 1966) is a former international rugby union player who played tighthead prop for Leicester Tigers and England. Matthew David Poole (born 6 February 1969) is a former rugby union lock who played 223 games for Leicester Tigers from 1988 to 1998, he also toured twice with England but did not play in a test match. Career Beginnings Born in Leicester, Poole was a product of the Leicester youth team and played for England Colts and the inaugural England under 21s team.
