A Lyga
The A Lyga is the top division of professional football in Lithuania. The A Lyga is an abbreviation of Aukščiausia lyga meaning Highest League. It is organized by Lithuanian Football Federation LFF ( lt, Lietuvos Futbolo Federacija). The Aukščiausia lyga also existed during the Soviet period of Lithuania, but was not considered to be a professional league until dissolution of the Soviet Union. The league size has varied between 8 and 12 teams in the recent seasons, however 2020 A Lyga the league featured record low of only 6 teams. But in the latest 2021 A Lyga season there were 10 teams. Futbolo klubas ROMAR, commonly known as ROMAR, was a Lithuanian football club in Mažeikiai, in the center of Mažeikiai District. History Club was created in 1992. When some football people from Mažeikiai asked sponsorship for football club Mažeikiai (also known as FK Jovaras). I Lyga
The I Lyga, LFF I Lyga, Pirma Lyga, is the second tier of professional Lithuanian football championship. Format Organized by the Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF), I Lyga is contested by 14-16 teams, with the top team gaining promotion to A Lyga and replaced by the lowest-placed team in top division and the bottom 4 clubs being relegated to the II Lyga. 1993–94 UEFA Champions League
The 1993–94 UEFA Champions League was the 39th season of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA's premier club football tournament, and the second season with the UEFA Champions League logo (it was adopted in the group stage and semi-finals, the rest of the tournament continued to be called "European Champion Clubs' Cup" or "European Cup"). The competition was won by Milan, their fifth title, beating Barcelona 4–0 in the final. Marseille were the defending champions, but were not allowed to enter the competition due their involvement in a match-fixing scandal in Division 1 the season prior. FK Minija was a Lithuanian football team from town Kretinga. History Club founded in 1962. In soviet occupation period played in "A" klasė and Aukščiausia lyga (First tier). FK Kareda was a Lithuanian football team from the city of Šiauliai and re-located from Šiauliai to Kaunas in 2000. It was dissolved in 2003. Before 2000 it was known as "Kareda Šiauliai". FK Dainava was a Lithuanian football club from Alytus. The club was established in 1935 as FK Alytis, before being renamed FK Dainava after a merger with ''FK Vidzgiris Alytus'' in December 2010. History The roots of Dainava can be traced back to two predecessor clubs, FK Alytis and FK Vidzgiris.
