1992–93 Danish Superliga
The 1992–93 Danish Superliga season was the 3rd season of the Danish Superliga league championship, governed by the Danish Football Association. The tournament was held in two rounds. First round was in the autumn 1992, and the second in the spring 1993. The teams placed first to eighth in first round, played in second round. Their scores were reset to zero, and their mutual points were shorted to the half. The two teams placed ninth and tenth in first round, played in the qualification league in the spring. They had respectively 8 and 7 points with. The Danish champions qualified for the UEFA Champions League 1993-94 qualification, while the second and third placed teams qualified for the qualification round of the UEFA Cup 1993-94. The teams placed first and second in the qualification league promoted. Danish Superliga
The Danish Superliga ( da, Superligaen, ) is the current Danish football championship tournament, and administered by the Danish Football Association. It is the highest football league in Denmark and is currently contested by 12 teams each year, with two teams relegated. History Founded in 1991, the Danish Superliga replaced the Danish 1st Division as the highest league of football in Denmark. From the start in 1991, 10 teams were participating. The opening Superliga season was played during the spring of 1991, with the ten teams playing each other twice for the championship title. From the summer of 1991, the tournament structure would stretch over two calendar years. The 10 teams would play each other twice in the first half of the tournament. In the following spring, the bottom two teams would be cut off, the points of the teams would be cut in half, and the remaining eight teams would once more play each other twice, for a total of 32 games in a season. Kim Vilfort (; born 15 November 1962) is a Danish retired professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He is the head talent scout at Brøndby IF. His 17-year professional career was mainly associated with Brøndby IF, for which he played in 470 official games – being the club's top scorer in history – and won ten major titles. Søren Andersen (born 31 January 1970) is a Danish former professional footballer. He played as a striker, and most prominently represented English club Bristol City, Spanish club Rayo Vallecano, as well as several Danish clubs. He won the 1992 Danish Cup with AGF Aarhus. Lars Dahl Elstrup (born 24 March 1963) is a Danish former professional footballer, who played for a number of Danish clubs, as well as Dutch club Feyenoord and Luton Town in England. He played 34 matches and scored 13 goals for the Denmark national football team, and was part of the Denmark team which won the 1992 European Championship. Club career Born in the village of Råby, 20 km NE of Randers, Lars Elstrup made his senior debut for local club Randers Sportsklub Freja in 1982. Lyngby FC
Lyngby Boldklub () is a Danish professional football club founded in 1921. It is based at Lyngby Stadion in Kongens Lyngby, Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality, a northern suburb of Copenhagen. From 1994 to 2001 the club was known as Lyngby FC. The club has won the Danish championship twice (1983 and 1992) and the Danish Cup three times (1984, 1985 and 1990). Henrik Jørgensen (footballer)
Henrik Jørgensen is a Danish former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He is currently goalkeeping coach at Vejle Boldklub. Jørgensen spent the first few years of his career in his native Denmark, playing for sides such as Boldklubben 1909, AGF and Viborg FF. Jørgensen moved to Scottish side Dundee United at the start of the 1994-95 season, joining the Scottish Cup winners as replacement for Guido van de Kamp. In his first game, Jorgensen conceded five goals and although he featured in the following Scottish League Cup match, keeping a clean sheet, his only other first-team appearance was as a substitute. Peter Møller Nielsen (born 23 March 1972) is a Danish former professional football player who became a sports journalist after ending his football career in December 2005. In 2018 he became sporting director of Dansk Boldspil Union. He won four Danish Superliga championships for the rival clubs Brøndby IF and F.C. Copenhagen, and became the most scoring Superliga player ever in 2005. He scored five goals in 20 matches for the Denmark national football team, and took part in the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
