1992 WPI Engineers Football Team
The 1992 WPI Engineers football team represented Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the 1992 NCAA Division III football season. It marked the Engineers' 103rd overall season and the team played its home games in Worcester, Massachusetts. They were led by fifth-year head coach Jack Siedlecki. They were a member of the Freedom Football Conference (FFC). The Engineers finished the season 9–2 and earned the school's first-ever bid to the NCAA Division III Football Championship playoffs. Freedom Football Conference
The Freedom Football Conference (FFC) was a college athletic conference that competed in the NCAA's Division III. Member teams were located in New England and New York. It was formed in 1992 and disbanded after the 2003 season. As can be deduced from the conference's name, teams competed within the FFC in football only. The teams competed in other conferences in other sports. United States Coast Guard Academy
The United States Coast Guard Academy (USCGA) is a service academy of the United States Coast Guard in New London, Connecticut. Founded in 1876, it is the smallest of the five U.S. service academies and provides education to future Coast Guard officers in one of nine major fields of study. Students are officers-in-training and are referred to as cadets, and upon graduation receive a Bachelor of Science degree and are commissioned as Coast Guard ensigns with a five-year active-duty service obligation, with additional years if the graduate attends flight school or subsequent government-funded graduate school. Collegeville is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, a suburb outside of Philadelphia on Perkiomen Creek. Collegeville was incorporated in 1896. It is the location of Ursinus College which opened in 1869. The population was 5,089 at the 2010 census. Ursinus College is a private liberal arts college in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1869 and occupies a 170-acre campus.
