The 1992 Soul Train Music Awards was held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California. The show aired live in select cities on March 10, 1992 (and was later syndicated in other areas), honoring the best in R&B, soul, rap, jazz, and gospel music from the previous year. The show was hosted by Patti LaBelle, Will Smith, Luther Vandross and Vanessa Williams. Luther Vandross
Luther Ronzoni Vandross Jr. (April 20, 1951 – July 1, 2005) was an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. Known for his sweet and soulful vocals, Vandross has sold over 40 million records worldwide. He achieved eleven consecutive Platinum albums and eight Grammy Awards, including Best Male R&B Vocal Performance four different times. In 2004, Vandross won a total of four Grammy Awards, including the Grammy Award for Song of the Year for a song recorded not long before his death, " Dance with My Father". Jodeci ( ) is an American Contemporary R&B, R&B quartet consisting of members DeVanté Swing, Dalvin DeGrate, Mr. Dalvin, K-Ci (singer), K-Ci, and K-Ci and JoJo, JoJo. ''So Intense'' is the only studio album by American R&B singer and songwriter Lisa Fischer, released on April 30, 1991. Of the ten songs recorded for the album, "How Can I Ease the Pain", co-written by Fischer, was her biggest pop and R&B hit. It reached number 11 on the main US Hot 100 chart and number 1 on the US R&B chart. Lisa Fischer (born December 1, 1958) is an American singer and songwriter.
