The 1992 LPGA Tour was the 43rd season since the LPGA Tour officially began in 1950. The season ran from January 30 to November 8. The season consisted of 34 official money events. The 1984 Nabisco Dinah Shore was a women's professional golf tournament, held April 5–8 at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California. This was the thirteenth edition of the ANA Inspiration, and the second as a major championship. With a purse of $400,000 and a winner's share of $55,000, this was the richest event in women's golf in 1984. Juli Inkster, 23, won the first of her seven major titles in a sudden-death playoff over Pat Bradley, with a par on the first extra hole. It was Inkster's second win on tour; she turned professional eight months earlier and won the Safeco Classic near Seattle in September 1983. Defending champion Amy Alcott finished at even par 288, eight strokes back in a tie for tenth. Patty Sheehan (born October 27, 1956) is an American professional golfer. She became a member of the LPGA Tour in 1980 and won six major championships and 35 LPGA Tour events in all. She is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame. Sheehan also hosts thPatty Sheehan & Friends which is a tournament on the Legends Tour. Alice Miller (born May 15, 1956) is an American professional golfer. She became a member of the LPGA Tour in 1978 and won eight LPGA Tour events, including one major championship, during her career. Amateur career Miller was born in Marysville, California. She played on the Marysville HS golf team the first year that golf became coed. She was scouted by Arizona State golf coach.
