The 1992 Lipton International Players Championships was a tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 8th edition of the Miami Masters, and was part of the ATP Masters Series, ATP Super 9 of the 1992 ATP Tour, and of the WTA Tier I Events, Tier I Series of the 1992 WTA Tour. Both the men's and the women's events took place at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne, Florida in the United States, from through 1992. Key Biscayne is an island town in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The population was 12,344 at the 2010 census. Key Biscayne lies south of Miami Beach and east of Miami. The village is connected to Miami via the Rickenbacker Causeway, originally built in 1947. Because of its low elevation and direct exposure to the Atlantic Ocean, it is usually among the first Miami areas to be evacuated before an oncoming hurricane.
