The 1991–92 Copa México is the 64th staging of the Copa México, and the 37th in the professional era. The competition started on August 9, 1991, and concluded on September 8, 1991, with the Final, in which Monterrey lifted the trophy for first time ever with a 4-2 victory over Cobras. For this edition was played by 20 teams, first played a group stage, later a knock-out stage. Copa México
The Copa MX (formerly called Copa Tower Monterrey, Copa Eliminatoria, Copa México and Copa Corona (beer), Corona MX (for sponsorship reasons)) was a Mexican association football, football cup competition that was established in 1907 in association football, 1907. After a lengthy hiatus that began in 1997 in association football, 1997, it was restored in 2012 in association football, 2012. On early editions of the cup, it consisted of both professional and amateur stages. It was the first official tournament that included teams from different parts of Mexico and was considered a prestigious tournament, especially during its earlier years of existence. The original purpose of the competition was to determine a national champion, thus distinguishing it from the local league championship. Santos Laguna
Club Santos Laguna S.A. de C.V. (), commonly known as Santos Laguna or Santos, is a Mexican professional football club that competes in the Liga MX. It is located in northern Mexico and represents the urban area of La Comarca Lagunera, made up of the surrounding municipalities of Torreón, Gómez Palacio , Lerdo and Matamoros .
