1991 Categoría Primera B Season
The 1991 Categoría Primera B season, (officially known as the 1991 Copa Concasa for sponsorship reasons) was the first season of Colombia's second division football league. The first match of the competition was played on 20 April 1991 in Bogotá, a 1–1 draw between El Cóndor F.C., El Cóndor and Alianza Llanos. Envigado F.C., Envigado won the tournament and became the first team to be promoted to the Categoría Primera A. Mayid Arias, playing for Alianza Llanos, was the topscorer with 8 goals. Categoría Primera B
Categoría Primera B, commonly referred to as Torneo BetPlay Dimayor due to sponsorship by online betting company BetPlay (formerly ''Torneo Águila''), is the second-division football league in Colombia. Format DIMAYOR has applied a new format from 2015 onwards because of the expansion to 20 teams in the Primera A tournament. The league will no longer have Apertura and Finalización seasons but rather a yearlong tournament with home and away games. The first phase of the tournament is everyone against everyone home and away games. The second is a two-groups phase with the 8 top teams from the season who play each other to determine the winners of each group. The winners of the two groups are both promoted to the Primera A and play the final in home and away games to determine the champion of the season. Armenia () is the capital of Quindio Department. Armenia is a medium-sized city and part of the " coffee axis" along with Pereira and Manizales. Riosucio, Caldas
Riosucio is a town and municipality in the department of Caldas in Colombia. It is best known for its biennial carnival, officially called the Carnival of Riosucio but commonly known by its former name of the "Carnival of the Devil", and is one of the biggest and most popular carnivals in Colombia. Tuluá (), is a city located in the heart of Valle del Cauca, Colombia. Cortuluá, officially named Cortuluá Fútbol Club S. A. and previously known as Corporación Club Deportivo Tuluá, is a Colombian football club from the municipality of Tuluá in the Valle del Cauca. Estadio Guillermo Plazas Alcid is a multi-purpose stadium in Neiva, Colombia. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 22,000 people and was built in 1980. Atlético Huila plays its home matches at this stadium. Neiva () is the capital of the Department of Huila. It is located in the valley of the Magdalena River in south central Colombia with a population of about 357,392 inhabitants.
