1990–91 Los Angeles Kings Season
The 1990–91 Los Angeles Kings season, was the Kings' 24th season in the National Hockey League. It saw the Kings finish first in the Smythe Division with a 46-24-10 record for 102 points. This was the only regular-season division title in Kings history, and the second-best regular-season finish in franchise history. The team defeated the Vancouver Canucks four games to two in the Smythe Division Semi-final before falling to the Edmonton Oilers four games to two in the Division Final. The Vancouver Canucks are a professional ice hockey team based in Vancouver. They compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference, and play their home games at Rogers Arena. The New York Islanders (colloquially known as the Isles) are a professional ice hockey team based in Elmont, New York. Robert Lang (ice Hockey)
Robert Lang (born December 19, 1970) is a Czech former professional ice hockey player. Drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the fifth round, 133rd overall, at the 1990 NHL Entry Draft, Lang made his NHL debut with the team in the 1992–93 season. He has also played in the NHL for the Boston Bruins, Pittsburgh Penguins, Washington Capitals, Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks, Montreal Canadiens and Phoenix Coyotes, with whom he retired with in 2010. Lang played internationally for both the Czechoslovak and Czech national teams, competing in four Winter Olympics (winning gold in 1998), three Ice Hockey World Championships and two World Cups. Erik Folke Andersson (born 19 August 1971) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey player who played 12 games in the National Hockey League with the Calgary Flames. First drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the 6th round of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft, Andersson chose not to sign with LA. In the 1997 draft, Andersson was selected again, this time in the 3rd round by Calgary. Thomas "Brandy" Semchuk (born September 22, 1971) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He played in the NHL with the Los Angeles Kings during the 1992–93 NHL season. Semchuk was selected in the 2nd round (28th overall) in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings. Semchuk played two seasons (1988–1990) on the Canada men's national ice hockey team under head coach Dave King. Darryl Sydor
Darryl Marion Sydor (born May 13, 1972) is a Canadian-American former professional ice hockey defenceman. He won two Stanley Cups during his career: with the Dallas Stars in 1999, and with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2004. He also reached the Stanley Cup Finals in 1993 as a member of the Los Angeles Kings, in 2000 as a member of the Dallas Stars and in 2008 as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
