Canadian Football League East Division
The East Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League, its counterpart being the West Division. Although the CFL was not founded until 1958, the East Division and its clubs are descended from earlier leagues. The four teams in the division are the Toronto Argonauts, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Montreal Alouettes, and Ottawa Redblacks. Several now-defunct teams have also played in the East Division including two teams from the United States and a large number of teams that have played in Hamilton, Montreal, and Ottawa prior to the current teams from those cities. Steve Goldman (coach)
Steven E. "Steve" Goldman (born 1945) is an American financial advisor and former gridiron football coach. He is a Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor with UBS. From 1989 to 1991 he was head coach of the Ottawa Rough Riders of the Canadian Football League. Early life Goldman was born on February 8, 1945, in Brooklyn. He played Tight end for the Colorado State Rams football team. College coaching In 1966, Goldman began his coaching career as a graduate assistant under Bill Peterson at Florida State. While there, he also earned his Master of Science degree. In 1968, he became the backs and receivers coach at Clearwater High School. At Clearwater, Goldman and head coach Earle Brown installed a pro-set offense. In 1969, Clearwater wide receiver Joel Parker was named a ''Parade'' All-American and Class 2A all-state player. It is located at Lansdowne Park, on the southern edge of The Glebe neighbourhood, where Bank Street crosses the Rideau Canal. Ottawa Rough Riders Seasons
This is an incomplete list of seasons competed by the Ottawa Rough Riders, a Canadian Football League team. While the team was founded in 1876, it did not join the CFL until the later was founded in 1958. The franchise folded in 1996 Ottawa Rough Riders season, 1996 due to poor management and would not see another team until the Ottawa Renegades franchise.
