Brandy Johnson
Brandy Johnson-Scharpf (born April 30, 1973, Tallahassee, Florida) is a retired American gymnast, gymnastics judge, stuntwoman and gymnastics coach. She owns Brandy Johnson's Global Gymnastics in Clermont, Florida. A member of Brown's Gymnastics club in Orlando, Florida, Johnson made an impressive debut in high-level competition, winning the all-around, vault, floor exercise and balance beam titles at the 1986 Junior Olympics National Championships. The following year, in her first US National Championships, Johnson won the all-around gold medal in the junior division. She also received her first international assignment, the Chunichi Cup in Japan, where she achieved a twelfth-place finish. The Artistic Gymnastics World Cup is a competition series for artistic gymnastics sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG). It is one of the few tournaments in artistic gymnastics officially organized by FIG, as well as the World Championships and the gymnastics competitions at the Olympic Games and the Youth Olympics. Beginning in the 2017-2020 quadrennium, the All-Around and Individual Apparatus World Cup series are used to qualify a maximum of seven spots to the Olympic Games. Sandy Woolsey (born August 15, 1972 in Denver, Colorado) is an American former artistic gymnast. She went to high school at Marcos de Niza in Tempe Arizona. Woolsey was coached at Desert Devils in Tempe, Arizona. At the US National Championships in 1989, she took third place in the all-around competition. Later that year she was a member of the US team that competed at the 1989 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Stuttgart, Germany. In the team final, where the US took fourth place, Woolsey was the highest-scoring US gymnast. In the all-around competition, she came in eighth.
