Coffs Harbour is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales. Since 2019 it has been represented by Gurmesh Singh of the National Party. The district takes in the entirety of the City of Coffs Harbour and includes the localities of Coffs Harbour, Sawtell, Coramba, Korora Bay, Moonee Beach, Emerald Beach, Woolgoolga, Arrawarra, Corindi Beach and Red Rock. Matt Singleton
Matthew Singleton (born 14 September 1927) is a former Australian politician. He was the National Party of Australia – NSW, Country then National Party member for Electoral district of Clarence, Clarence from 1971 to 1981 and for Electoral district of Coffs Harbour, Coffs Harbour from 1981 to 1990 in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly. He was also Minister for Administrative Services and Assistant Minister for Transport from 1988 to 1989. Singleton was born in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales, Coffs Harbour. On 26 November 1955 he was married to Nancy, with whom he has five children. He was a farmer and company director before entering politics, and was chairman of the Bonville, New South Wales, Bonville Boambee, New South Wales, Boambee branch of the National Party of Australia – NSW, Country Party from 1957 to 1971, and of the electoral councils for the state seat of Electoral district of Raleigh, Raleigh (1958–70) and the federal seat of Division of Cowper, Cowper ... Speaker Of The New South Wales Legislative Assembly
The Speaker of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly is the presiding officer of the Legislative Assembly, New South Wales's lower chamber of Parliament. The current Speaker is Jonathan O'Dea, who was elected on 7 May 2019. Traditionally a partisan office, filled by the governing party of the time, O'Dea replaced the previous Liberal Speaker Shelley Hancock, following the 2019 state election. Role The Speaker presides over the House's debates, determining which members may speak. Andrew Fraser (New South Wales Politician)
Andrew Raymond Gordon Fraser (born 19 December 1952), an Australian politician, was a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly from 1990 to 2019, representing Coffs Harbour for the Nationals. Fraser was educated in Newcastle at Kahibah Primary and Whitebridge High Schools. He has worked in finance industry and as an insurance broker and has been the proprietor of a take-away food shop and of a caravan park. He is married with three children. Fraser is noted for chasing and grabbing then Minister for Roads, Joe Tripodi, on the floor of the House in September 2005, apparently in relation to a lack of funding for the main roads, including the Pacific Highway in Coffs Harbour.
